It would be funny if the winner was that powerball winner that moved to florida I think his name is David Edwards.-weshar75

Has Ky EVER won a large jackpot?
That was the one David Edwards won. I remember because I lived in Indiana at the time just across the river from KY/Louisville and was paying attention to the PB lottery since it was so high (didn't win anything, of course) and shortly after the drawing, saw him all over the news, even then I knew he'd end up another lottery winner/loser story. Damn, did he come down hard.

I hope it (Powerball) rolls again
I guess it's a good thing I said random stranger. Consider two choices. You could share an amount you choose with the strangers that charities have decided are deserving, or you could share 2/3 with Jack Whittaker and David Edwards. Which would you do?
I, OTOH, might choose to share with charities that don't give the money to people. I think you may be one of the people who has mentioned animals as a worthy cause. How much does it cost to build 50 animal shelters, or spay and neuter 250,000 d

Biggest U.S Jackpots winners: Do you know them?
Pumpi ( you inquisitive one, you...) the fact that we DO NOT know them speaks volumes about how well they have managed their fortune, not the other way around...
There are only so many Jack Whittakers and David Edwards around....That is a good thing.

Most of the winners won off a quick pick. The Lucky 13 (1998) and the 14 Sandia Lab employees from New Mexico (2000) who won the Powerball won on a random quick pick. I would continually look at the Winner's stories section of the Powerball website, and most of the winners won on q

Stop staying, 'Lower the odds'. It's the JACKPOT that matters!
Nobody needs it, but it's a question of what you could do with it. That $105 million they advertise is about (for me) $38 million after taxes. Right now, putting that in a safe investment might result in an annual after tax income of only $660,000. I've got no use for extravagance, and even indulging in a goodly amount of travel I can't imagine actually spending more than 250 to 300k, but there are plenty of other things I'd like to be able to do.
It wouldn't take an hour to think of charitab

selling a winning ticket
i haven't won a jackpot (i think I gave some of you that impression). This is purely hypothetical.
Anyways, to introduce myself, I'm Rick, nineteen-year-old from California, where even if you claim as a trust, your name is still publicized. Selling the ticket and sacrificing a couple million if the jackpot were huge would be worth it to me to avoid the publicity, seeing as I'm so young my story would be all over the news and I'd be the target of every beggar and scammer. I also have little br
