Someone left their quick pick in the ticket vending machine and you took the ticket? Or you looked at a quick pick left in the vending machine and then bought your own ticket playing the same numbers as the quick pick?

Whenever you buy $10, $20, $40 and $50 quick picks. the tickets are printed on $5 quick pick tickets. i know that some mega millions and powerball states print $10 on a single ticket.but you can always ask the clerk to push the $5 button on the machine twice to get two $5 tickets quick pick instead of a $10 on one ticket.By the way in new york

In my state, the machine that sells scratch and online games are two separate machines. So, what would happen if I put the money inside the online game and the machine runs out of paper? Can I get my money back? I can't use the money to buy scratch ticket since the machine that sells scratch ticket is a separate machine.

Nothing in nature (or man-made) can be perfectly random. It's just hard for the human mind to look at a field of numbers and tease out subtle patterns. QP is far more random than the draw machine.The bar codes on the tickets are in binary. They are probably a translation of the serial number which the agent manually enters when the machine has trouble reading the ticket.If anyone wants to see the ticket when I got the Pick-5, let me know, I'll post it also. It's from 2002 though.

I have 9, 13, and 26, on the last line of the(QP) freebie, so far my take this week is SM-$9.00 PB-$20.00, deducting the cost of the tickets. my winnings amount to $13. TakeFive: You got it now, that's what happened, the clerk tried to pass off Wednesday's rejected SM ticket to me on Thursday, I never thought about the player rejecting the ticket On Wed. because he didn't get the promo, I bet you are correct, you think like a detective, you should get a job with NY Lottery security (lol).

Yes, you bring up all good points, it's easy to get scammed when there is so much confusion and the con men are always there to take advantage of someone, even I get mixed up sometimes about what games are on what days, or what day it is, sometimes I'll ask for MM on Wed. when I really want PB, and then I catch myself and have to tell the clerk I really wanted PB before she hits the computer keys!
