From Sarasota I sent my $1K win to Ft Myers and the turnaround has always been very quick. Found out today that scratch prizes tickets are now being forwarded to Tallahassee which will extend receiving my check about another four to six weeks as I was told by a supervisor in Tallahassee ........ I asked when this change was made and the first agent said about 2 months ago, I asked for a supervisor and he said 4 or 5 months ago. I played on vacation in Florida this year and it felt like the Monopoly games just burnt cash. If the odds were 1 in 3 I'd play 4 and win the minimum on the game. Usually when I'm on vacation in Florida I do pretty well, but this year I was utterly destroyed across multiple gas stations and multiple denominations. Was just browsing the headlines on lottery sales. Florida scratch-off sales were down 6% last fiscal year. Apparently people are still biting on the monster jackpot games, though.

If you were from Alabama you would've won the top prize ;). In defense that ticket was attached to a promotion for losing tix so the market was flooded with losers lol. Florida keeps pumping out new tix each month and is over saturating their own market. New tix come out on the 23rd, including a $30 Gold Rush Game for $15 mil :\. Next month will probably see the release of the Holiday edition tix .

You should ask how the draws are done for 2nd chances in Florida. I found out a lot by asking around the lottery contacts I had in the state when I played a lot. Sometimes you may think you have a ton of entries, but if you don't know how they conduct the draws sometimes you may not have any entries depending on the methods use to narrow the selection group. As always, thank you again Cape for running the numbers on the new game. Other than the $500 prize tier, the $1M prize looks terrible by comparison to current games. In addition to not changing the game name, the Florida lotto is not showing any creativity with this new $50 ticket. I suspect they'll pull the current 500X off the shelf now which may jeopardize that last $25M prize from being claimed. This feels like a trick out of the Illinois lottery play book.

Howdy it's been a long time since chiming in on some Florida lottery scratchoff culture...I've been playing more pick games and less heavy scratchoffs over the last few years because of poor total returns from these new tickets and abusive fake multipliers...however got a wild hair on Friday after a pick 3 win. Started playing some of that New Gold Rush $50 starting on ticket 23. 023, 024, 025, 026, 027, 029 all lost but number 028 saved the day..... 5K...let's hope this starts a run of wins
