As I mentioned in an earlier post, here are my wins from last week. The $200 and $500 wins were from the same Super Millions roll. Also, I spoke with the owner of AK's and he mentioned that someone (a resident of Gainesville) purchased all of his $200MS rolls. However, he still has 50X rolls. Tax Avoidance on Big Win - IRA, Multi-Split?
Wondered from time to time, the best way to keep the IRS out of a big hit, if ever so lucky. Common instruction tells you to sign the ticket, immediately... thus, setting you up solely for all the taxes. Rather, wouldn't it be better to see an attorney, pronto, prior to signing? Perhaps one who specializes in preserving family wealth? Would it not be better to have some group set up to split the ticket taxes - be it a family corporation, whatever? FYI Noticed a big jump in entries this week for the weekly scratchers drawing. Realized that the 500/month entry limit goes to 1000/week when the week spans 2 separate months. Someone entering 1000 $20 tickets that week (500 in March and 500 in April) gets 20000 entries. I am going to avoid those weeks with my 100 or so entries. Also, I know someone who bought 10 entire books of $5M Jackpot tickets. 2 sets of 5 consecutive books. Result-you can't predict which #'s are going to pay. Totally ra
