I would say even more important than those things (although going to RNG cannot be topped for ineptitude) is the fact that when the heat started coming on strong, she ordered a $90,000 audit THAT DID NOT INCLUDE WHAT WENT WRONG.
That is the coup de gr ce for me. It is utterly ridiculous, and the legislature thought so too. So they were forced to start their own investigation in addition to the $90,000 KPMG audit.

The Tennessee Lottery is investigating a handful of glitches since changing the system for pulling winning numbers to a computer, but then again, are they really?

Why does it take so long ...
They know if there was a jackpot winner within a minute or two. That's easy. However, it takes a few hours because of all the auditing that takes place following the drawing. Lotteries normally do pre-drawings and post-drawings, and that's just to audit the draw machines themselves. They also have to audit all the sales and financials from all the states, and it's just a matter of taking time.These things all take place so that the government has the appropriate checks and balances in place
