LP and the Lotteries
If anything, many of the posts at LP expose some of the misconceptions players have about lotteries and how they work, so one has to be careful about believing much of what they read here. As far as a LP poster revealing a winning system, if he/she had one their winnings would be getting the attention of the news and lotteries long before anyone here ever noticed. The couple from Michigan that was traveling to Massachusetts to take advantage of their lottery run-downs by buying a 100K+ ticket

Buying More Than 1 Lottery Ticket Does Not Make Economic Sense Regardless Of The Jackpot Amount.
I bought 1 Powerball Quick Pick ticket yesterday, and the first number on the single line is the number 4 which came out on the previous drawing as the first number too. I feel that the store clerk gave me a partial Quick Pick ticket. It isn't the first time that I get repeated numbers from the previous drawing in that store or multiple numbers repeated when I buy multiple tickets. This has been going on in most stores that I buy quick pick tickets. I have thought about picking my own

Going after 100m Powerball Jackpot?
Not me either. I haven't been to Austin since '09. I barely got out of my neighborhood yesterday to get my tickets with those darn Ironman cyclists speeding down the roads. They nearly kilt me. I play every draw for jackpots. MM, PB, or Texas Lotto. No pick 3 or 4's, but I will play the Two-step (pick 5) when it hits $500k. No powerplays, all cash value. Mostly QP. Sometimes I let LP pick my QP's, LOL.

Store owner tried to scam woman out of lottery winnings
I'd like to know how many winners he's cashed in his name previously. Or how about all the free to $100 tickets he stole without signing his name. He was caught because he scratched off the winner's name. With thousands of stores in each state, there is no telling how many people are told their unsigned $600 plus tickets are losers and a clerk keeps the ticket and signs their name. The tickets that don't require signing probably amount to thousands in thefts every day. The real problem i

Michigan couple killed after lottery win
I agree.... If the police knew it was a drug house they would have likely had an easy time getting evidence and they would have been busted. If you go around telling people you won the lottery you might as well put a target on your back with a lit up neon sign telling the shooter where to aim. I won $100 of a accidentally requested PB ticket three months ago and told absolutely no one. Michigan allows for anonymity for most games, the only exception as far as I remember come down to Powerb

Yes that new Emerald Ruby game is red hot! I won $50 on a 3 ticket Win for Life purchase about 4 weeks before I hit the $500, but the first Win for Life grand prize should go any day now. I alternate between Mass Ct depending on what area I'm working at the time which is great since those two States have some of the best games. Another thing I do, besides not spending too much, after I buy the tickets I hold on to them for a week or so before I open them, you get more lasting excitement for y

How many hours do you put into picking your numbers?
I normally play jackpots games that only have 2-3 drawings per week which allows me to work on my system a little bit at a time between drawings. This afternoon I decided to play MM tonight instead Ohio Classic Lotto tomorrow so I started doing my work-out to pick some lines and I'll should be done before the cut-off time for buying tickets. I always keep my data files for MM, PB and OCL updated so I don't have to waste time looking up what has hit lately when I decide it's a go. If I ever wi

Too true for NY as well. I used to actually have fun scratching tickets and nowadays, like you said, its so fing predictable. If I see a few of my winning numbers are one off from my play numbers I already know its a loser. Plus the codes they use for certain games are right by the winning numbers so when you scratch them off, if you reveal certain letters you can be sure its a loser (Set for Life). And yes I realize jackpots and higher prizes will have losing codes so I always scratch them but

Lottery is controlled by the Illuminati
Believe it or not, the lottery is very well controlled and was created to collect more money for the state and government, meaning that if the government could tax you more they would but they can not, so they created the lotto as another form of collecting. All the lotteries across the country are controlled by an organization that intelligently distributes the monetary with some type of rational (state, city, zipcode, or areacode).
