I have other issues with Powerball and Mega Millions. Specifically, the prize payout scheme robs lower-tier prize winners. I can win more with much better odds by playing numbers games like the Pick 3 and the Pick 4.

Todd can I offer a suggestion. For that stats for both mega millions and powerball I know you have last time drawn but if you could also have the time before date drawn also included next to it. The stats are very useful just I think that would b a nice added feature. Great websites and ill b sure to mention when I win my jackpot

UPDATE: The Mega Millions jackpot has been increased to $260 million this afternoon as the result of larger-than-expected sales. The new cash value is $158.5 million. Good luck everyone!

I just came back from the store where I went to buy an Arizona Green Tea (delicious!) and asked for a mega millions ticket as I was paying for the drink. The guy printed two lines by mistake. I bought the mistake because I had the money to buy 2 lines. Now I wait.

Powerball has produced 6 JP wins year to date versus Mega Millions which has only produced two. I think MM is about to be won particularly since it is in that typical range when Large JPs are won. It's been 17 drawings since the last win.

That's why PB and MM both set up the annuity on an increasing rate schedule. PB payments increase by 4% each year, MM by 5%. For the current $173M Mega Millions jackpot, the first payment is $2.6M, the final payment is $10.7M.

Yes, your analysis could be 100% accurate, but then there is still a 10% odds. I know its is a very thin line for winning that much but it does exist. I love playing mega millions sometimes.
