And we're rolling...MM at 85m
The Mega Millions jackpot just rolled to $110 million. Now the average jackpot size is $178 million. The average takes into account only the size of the jackpot when it is won plus the current jackpot.

And we're rolling...MM at 85m
The jackpot often goes over $100 million. The current jackpot average for Mega Millions is $177 million and $173 million for Powerball. These averages cover only the draws for the most recent updates to the respective games.

Powerball Matrix Change - April 15, 2015
I also agree, I stopped playing mega millions because of the change and I will do the same if this goes thru. For the few weekly winners (5 balls) they are still making a ton off us.

Puerto Rico runs away with the Powerball Jackpot
Powerball will soon go away due to its lack of profitability, and Mega Millions (in its current format) will be the only game left. Powerball took too big a gamble with its existing setup.

Florida snags the 80m dollar Powerball Jackpot
No matter what you say noise-gate, the facts are that the same places are winning over and over again. So I chose not to be a part of it anymore. I choose to place my money elsewhere and not too fund Powerball and Mega Millions anymore. And that's what I'm saying noise-gate.

New England's Lucky For Life.
Yes besides L4L, Hot Lotto and Mega Millions have changed their game matrix to make it much harder to win the JP, and Powerball is about to do the same thing. In their attempt to create bigger jackpots they have alienated those of us who dislike ridiculous odds. I'm sticking with my favorite state game and only playing the big games when the JP gets up there close to half a billion.

Say goodbye to PB & MM soon!
This is the first time though, that Mega Millions is still at a minimum jackpot after three draws without a winner (the $15 million plus the three minimum increases of only $5 million). Sales for both multi-state games are already in the crapper and it will be even worse for PB after their game change.

Say goodbye to PB & MM soon!
If these games are easy to win, I would have won already....lol. They added more numbers to Mega Millions...how is this game easy to win? And the amount of players that play each week, adds more money to the jackpot every time there is a larger jackpot. We are talking about over 50 or 100 million here...odds are against us and not for us. I always more tickets when the jackpots are quite large, who is not tempted?

Say goodbye to PB & MM soon!
Mega Millions has yet to have a winner at the $15 million level. I have seen it won once at $20 million though (after one roll), since the last matrix change.
