Discrete vs Continuous Distribution
You wrote above that you use chi square test, but in fact you use a relative squared deviation frequency towards a mathematically averaged frequency for every number.
You made no point on why and how to take decisions. So there is no documentation on whether you increase or decrease your odds. There is no indication on how or what to pick and there is no mathematical proof to it.

As a Lottery JP winner: Would you " help" your city out if they were on the verge of bankruptcy?
If a company is JUST trying to make profits for its shareholders it will ultimately fail. There are MANY other reasons a company exists. Yes profits keep a company going but I like this example BETTER as its is a 'positive' way to increase production--
The $5-a-day Workday
After the success of the moving assembly line, Henry Ford had another transformative idea: in January 1914, he startled the world by announcing that Ford Motor Company would pay $5 a day to its workers. The pay increase

How Many Folks Gave Up On Mega Millions Now That The Odds Are In The Stratosphere?
Mega Millions . . an increase of 101.9% over the prior year
Would you be so kind as to giving us that percentage again on October 22, 2014 which by the way constitutes exactly one (1) year from the effective changeover date?

Georgia's new $30 lottery tickets selling 'like crazy'
And among all the big Billion dollar plus lottery states, where does Cali rank on the sucker scale? Way way down towards the bottom. Good stuff!
But you can bet CA lottery guys have major East coast envy, and wish they had the sales per capita of the other big states. You can bet it's their goal to increase Cali's place on the scale.

Have you ever changed buying tickets strategy?
To win a JP, you need to claim ALL the correct numbers from the drawing. The clumping of winners from one store to another is only a natural random distribution, clumps and all.
The required amount of winners is not present in any clump to get my interest. Buying tickets in those stores won't increase my chance of hitting the JP because I still have to overcome unbelievable odds.

You Will Never Win A Lottery Jackpot In Your Lifetime.
To win a MM jackpot we must match the bonus number so sometimes buying more tickets doesn't really increase our chances. If we get 15 tickets each with a different bonus number, we still only have one chance to win the jackpot because 14 of the tickets won't match the bonus number.
I think that's called Kintucky logic.

What do you do to increase your luck in winning?
What do you do to increase your luck in winning?
I buy tickets when buying a drink of some sort. Orange juice, milk, coffee, green tea or my favorite beer Corona Extra.

Do some of you plan to spend less money playing the lottery in 2014?
Probably wont play the MM as much because of the changes. The Powerball ...well....probably wont do that til it gets to 100M and heres why:
Over the last 5 years(09-13) there have been 36 jackpots won over 100 M // 31 jackpots under 100 M.
Since the $2 increase on 1/15/12: there have been more larger jackpots won(7) over $300 M as
opposed going back through 2004 there were only 3 over 300 M(Hiles/Cotrell in 07 and Conagra group in 06 and Chaney/West in 05)
2013: 9 jackpots won
