Mega Millions $1,000,000.00 Winners Without Megaplier
Since the matrix change I notice most draws produce a few 5+0 winners. But I was surprise to see none of them played the megaplier to turn their million into 2,3,4,or 5 million and the #5 has been drawn 5 times. I would have mix feelings about missing the chance to increase that win. Most players like me are after the jackpot, so they rather buy more tickets. I only buy 1 Mega Millions ticket per draw because I am boycotting. I may have to spend $2 just in case I am a 5+0 winner. Do you play Meg

Now that the media frenzy will start the jackpot and the number of players will increase substantially and I expect a winner in the next two draws. Most likely this next one. I know people who didn't even know about the 344m jackpot. Now that the local and national media will be hyping it by Friday I think the jackpot will be 450m by the drawing.

Yeah, you'd have a bit of an advantage for a while. But knowing greedy bastids at IRS, they might try to close that loophole as jackpots increase nowadays, and add another progressive tier or two to automatic withholdings, like over $10,000,000 lottery win is subject to automatic 39% withholding.(they leave you 0.6% at least...) Uh oh, shouldn't have said that. The NSA is probably watching this site,(via Google) and they share info with the IRS. Don't wanna give them ideas.

The odds of you winning a second prize by buying a single ticket on every drawing are very low. The lottery has more single ticket players losers than multiple tickets players. You can't increase your chances of winning some money in the lottery by buying a $1 Mega Millions ticket and a $2 Powerball ticket for every drawing.

I agree that the annuity bump is pretty weak but when you factor in the cash value has only gone up $14 million for each of the past two draws it sums up the sentiment towards MM. The annuity will have to top $300 million before we see any appreciable increase in sales.
