Anonymous Michigan winner claims $1 million jackpot
For the second time, a Blue Water Area lottery winner took the money and ran.
Someone won $1 million after scratching off a Michigan State Lottery Millionaire Casino ticket at the Party Port, 3832 Keewahdin Road.
Lottery officials said the winner, who was from Kimball Township, claimed the prize Monday in a lump sum totaling $465,184 after taxes.
The winner chose to remain anonymous. Because the $10 scratch-off game is run by the state lottery and is not a multi-state game, such as Mega

Online lotteries in Brazil
slampen,I can't believe you continue to support this scheme (WGI). What about the fact that they are lying about being registered in Norway? But wait, there's more. My great anonymous tipster sent me some more in-depth materials about them. This time from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commissions, including charges against CEO, Greg Kennedy and WGI's parent company, World Play Services for pyramid selling. His trial ended June 9, 2004 and the proceedings were adjourned for judgement.

Florida Statute 24.1051
On May 25, 2022 Florida Governor DeSantis signed a bill into law that allowed Florida Lottery prize winners of $250,000 or more to remain anonymous for 90 days after the date they claimed their prize. After that bill was signed by The Governor it became FS 24.1051.
However large prize winners in Florida might be able to remain anonymous for much longer than 90 days provided they know how to make that happen.
The winner can hire a lawyer to draft documents creating an entity such as a tru

$70 million Michigan Powerball winner says lottery winners should be able to remain anonymous
If you are going to quote a site then include the link or clearly name the site so that I can find it.
I am from Michigan and have followed the laws so I know 100% that you can NOT remain anonymous on the Multistate games in Michigan I have also followed all the Michigan legislative attempts to make the Multistate games anonymous too.
Be careful which sites you trust as you do not know who does the research for those and they are most certainly wrong in the case of Michigan.

Bill to allow lottery winners to remain anonymous passes Virginia Senate
Categories of claimant options: Feel free to add. Let's develop a list.
1.) 100% automatically anonymous. See MD.
2.) 100% not anonymous. Claimant must be an individual only based on lottery rules. See VIRGINIA

NH Lottery Commission wants Powerball winner's lawsuit dismissed, citing Right-to-Know Law
This person is the most ungrateful winner I've ever heard of.
Because she'd rather not have her name publicized? Don't be stupid. Nobody sensible would want their name to be publicized, but we've all got to play by the rules. While she wants the lottery to allow her to do something that's prohibited by the rules, she's still working within the rules by asking the court to allow it. I don't think she'll succeed, but the only thing wrong with trying is that she'll have wasted a few grand in l

With the UK Lottery, you can have your cake and eat it!
Are my winnings tax free?
Yes, UK National Lottery prizes are not chargeable gains for the purposes of UK Capital Gains Tax and will not normally be assessed for UK Income Tax. If a prize is won and shared by a syndicate who entered into a written agreement before the win, then syndicate members should not be liable to pay UK inheritance tax.

Bill would allow Texas Lottery winners to pay for anonymity
Texas lawmakers are considering a bill that would allow big lottery winners to keep their identity a secret, but they would have to pay for that privilege.
Right now, Texas Lottery winners are not allowed to remain anonymous. In some cases, individuals have established a trust or turned their winning ticket over to a trust to claim the prize for them. But, Texas law requires that someone come forward to participate in a news conference and collect the money.
House Bill 1504 would change th

Claiming Anonymously and keeping your winnings! (a paranoid approach)
Some interesting points have been brought up here. A Powerball winner in my state claimed by trust but later, the newspaper had a feature on her with her name! I don't know how they got it, if she came forward to them, someone tipped them off or what, but it didn't keep her anonymous. There is no 100% way to remain anonymous, but there are things that can be done to make it harder to be found. I've read that anyone can be found if someone has the time, the motivation, and the resources to do so,
