My digit system for pick-5 or pick-6 lottery
My comment is not really lottery related but I think it relates a little to this conversation. I am a software architect and was fortunate enough to cash in some stock options from a previous job that allowed me the luxury to take a few years off and travel across Europe. Once I got back I built a game room and bought a 9' pool table. I becames obsessed with pool (I do have an obsessive personality) and would play all day. I bought an advanced training tape that was a workout for developing a pu

Why do people play QP's?
I have bought QP s on games once and a while to be in the running, but then again my style is to watch a history and place bets with betslips. As for which way to play that is better, I am not exactly convinced QPs generated for a draw exhaust all combinations. e.g. the recent three QP winners who split a not-so big jackpot. My opinion is we only think the entire pool of combinations are sold without repeats until the pool is exhausted. This may be more frequent in games with less combinations t

Office Pool Lotto Questions
I'm a fairly bright fellow, but new to the Office Pool Lotto concept. I know several board members have said they'd never play in an office pool for fear of lawsuit, etc. etc. However, I've made the decision to put one together (we just had a million dollar winner in our small hometown) so I'm not asking whether I should do it or not. To those of you who are much more knowledgeable I pose these questions: Do you let each member pick their own numbers or do you just have the lotto computer

Man quits lottery pool, then wins with Quick Pick
Mark Weir won a 2.7 million (US $5.3 million) Lotto jackpot, and then told the members of his former lottery pool, You won't get a penny . Father-of-two Mark, 45, hit the jackpot with a 1 Quick Pick ticket he bought in last Wednesday's UK National Lottery draw after failing to win anything for years in his office lottery pool. As he picked up his winnings yesterday, plastics factory machine operator Mark, from Darlington, Co Durham, said, The lads at work won't be getting a share.

10-number system
Shawn, Here's what I like doing for any lottery game and ten lines to play. Pick a history to use, any history of 50 games or less. ( This could be for position or overall occurrence in Pick-3 or -4 games). You want to pick about 60 - 65% of the number pool for a total pool to play from. In the case of Pick 3 that would be 6 - 7 digits. Pick the digits on basis of hottest, coldest, most overdue....you want a fairly even representation of each category. Here's where I differ from many l

Frustrated
In an unprecedented court case, a woman in Florida hit the lottery for $68,000,000 but another woman in Maine claimed that the Florida woman was playing her numbers . She's suing for a share of the Florida woman's jackpot. Meanwhile, other lottery players all over the world are waiting to see how this is decided before thay all claim the prize was won with their numbers . quote by Coin Toss A similar case was already decided in the courts of Virgina and North Carolina in 199

Powerball lottery jackpot raised to $101 million
The cap comes into play whenever the annuity jackpot reaches a previous PB jackpot record. It was enacted about a year and half ago, at which time the highest anuity jackpot that PB had offered was the $315 million that Jack Whittaker took as a cash prize. When PB reached $315 million again the cap came into play for the first time, resulting in a jackpot of $340 million. The recent $365 million jackpot was the second time the cap came into play, when the jackpot again reached the $340 million

Woman found guilty of stealing winning lottery ticket
The only communications you have entered into since I called you an idiot have been to expose me as a liar. Give up your vendetta Raven. Also, as you noticed before, it is true that I joined this forum specifically to discuss this case. Never had a reason to post on a lottery forum before. I have actually never posted on any forum before this. Analyze that line. I found this forum as I was searching the internet to see if they used my name in any of the articles, as my friend told me. I

Pivot to Pool Play with an Emphasis on Computer Enhanced Number Predictions
Hey Guys and Gals. I want to apologize for going bonkers last week. With that said... This is a TWO Faceted Question. Have fun with it. Regarding Pools... 1) If you had a lottery pool, who would be the Captain? 2) Who would you want in your lottery pool and why, ? 3) What name would you have for your pool, and what would be your logo? 4) What is the optimum amount of pool members? 5) How many lines should a pool play? 6) What is the best game to play? 7) Would

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
So jackpotchasing's post made me want to look up something indirectly related, and in that I found something that I believe people here may find interesting so I wanted to post it. (This is not related to his post though). From an article: Actually, the odds were better than that. Scratch-off prizes are not randomly distributed. Lotteries use a system of pools to create a fairly even distribution of prizes, as described in Indiana and Massachusetts reports. Most lotteries want pri
