Pennsylvania casinos file suit against state lottery over Internet-based games
Seven commercial casino operators in Pennsylvania have filed suit in Commonwealth Court against the Pennsylvania Lottery over its new breed of casino-style online games. The casino operators are asking the court to stop the Lottery from offering the games, introduced in May, arguing they cut too close to the online games that the casinos say state gambling law reserves exclusively for them. The suit alleges several of the Lottery's games improperly imitate the look, sound and feel of slot

Pick 3 Forecast (Multiple States) 8th Edition [>25% ROI]
Someone ask what I feel about a few things so I thought I'd regurgitate a few random incomplete thoughts. I haven't updated Forecast #30 but it hit on the 4th drawing last night for the 8/13 North Carolina evening drawing. So this means that out of 30 forecast that I've posted in this forum Forecast #27 is the only one that did not win within 7 drawings. Instead of this being something to be mad about because my 100% accuracy rate has now gone down to 96%, I see this as an opportunity to lear

Wells Fargo lottery winners poker-faced as they return to work
l fear it is because of the upheaval created by that winner from the north East, who went to court to shield her identity. In the case of the PA winner that only had the name of their trust and its trustee announced the lottery did consider the NH case. With the CA winners that seems a bit unlikely since they did release the name of an actual person. OTOH, since it seems that the group rushed to claim the prize without forming a trust or other legal entity they probably had to release the n

Why the fervor over a winner being a quick pick or self pick?
I'm a regular lottery gambler. I think I can safely say that I lose when I play the wrong numbers. The only question is that WHO determine that my numbers are wrong. Or, you seem to think that the draw machine and the random number generators used for Quick Picks in hundreds of lottery terminal can be manipulated to obtain a desired result. My beef (as you frame it) is towards 30 min lead time vs LIVE broadcasting, as it was done before for many many years. I simply do not underst

Why the fervor over a winner being a quick pick or self pick?
I imagine there have never been 40 million tickets sold for any single 6/49 Lotto The final drawing of the last PB ru had sales of almost 45 million tickets for a jackpot advertised at 450 (455?) million. It may have been slightly different than 6/49 at the time, but I'm pretty sure that the record jackpot for NY lotto was 72 to 76 million. NY doesn't tell you the details about their games, but I'd imagine that was the result of total sales of about 210 to 225 million tickets, but spread ov

NY credit union chief accused of embezzling money from fund, spending $3.55M on lottery tickets
The head of the city's oldest credit union embezzled money from the fund for years splurging on millions worth of lottery tickets by submitting bogus invoices for dental work and other expenses, federal prosecutors said Tuesday. Kam Wong, 62, from Valley Stream, L.I., who heads the Municipal Credit Union, allegedly used the ill-gotten gains to purchase some $3.55 million in New York State lottery tickets, according to Manhattan U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman. He also obtained numerous other

Minnesota lottery ticket given by daughter to dad as Christmas gift hits for $1M
Don DeSaer got a lottery ticket for Christmas from his daughter a Minnesota Millionaire Raffle ticket. It turned out to be true to its name. The ticket proved to be worth $1 million, and now the family of six is divvying up the winnings equally. DeSaer, of Courtland in southern Minnesota, got the ticket from his daughter Amber DeSaer, who also bought one for herself at Casey's General Store in New Ulm, lottery officials announced Monday. Amber said it didn't take long for her to realize
