Since three jackpots (1 Lotto and 2 Little Lotto) were hit in liquor stores in Illinois on Saturday night, Aug 13th, some residents are petitioning to get a liquor store here in the Institute. One insists that no one who had bought a winning ticket at a liquor store has ever done so without taking a nip while filling out the playslip. Another of our residents is working on playing nothing but football scores.

A couple of our residents went off on tangents about persistence recently and have been driving themselves a little more batty than usual. One tried doing a search here on LP using the word dream . Another insists that picking a set of six numbers, five of them in regualr numerals and one in Roman numerals is the key to winning jackpots but is having a heck of a time trying to find such a playslip.

The one thing I would like but don't see would be a $1.00 national game with a lot more million dollar winners instead of the humongous mega jackpots A few years ago the Ohio Lotto game was averaging 3 jackpot winners and one drawing had I believe 14 players splitting the jackpot. A National game could produce multiple million dollar winners if they created a point where the jackpot must be paid and if there are no jackpot winners; the top prize would be distributed to the secondary prizes.
