Powerplay or Megaplier vs Straight
FYI....This is the response I got from the Powerball website..... We don t really track that. Since Power Play sells about 20% of the total sales, that would mean that 20% of jackpots won since Power Play began have been Power Play tickets. The Power Play option does not apply to the jackpot prize.

Congrats erik83, enjoy the wealth! mattinpa- Isnt our 20$ tickets carrying a million dollar payout? Seems the Florida ones carry a 500k payout? So is it better to stick to 20$ tickets with million dollarpayout or go for the lower jackpots payouts with more winners circulating? Today I didnt play as I am saving for Fridays trip to market. Pure Gold will have to surrender a good payout then!!! :)

Powerplay or Megaplier vs Straight
I'm sure there has been dallas, but it only applies to increase the lower tier prizes, not jackpots. I always play the multipliers just to make sure if I get the first 5 numbers without the bonus ball that I will get a million instead of $200,000. And it's helped a lot when I get smaller wins by multiplying them.

Interest In Backtesting and Simulating Lottery Systems
You could back test 12 numbers in a 5/39 game and find out they won several jackpots, but that doesn't prove or disprove they will win another jackpot in the near future. Or you could back test the same 12 numbers using a simulated lottery and find they never won a jackpot and that would neither prove or disprove those numbers will win a jackpot in the near future. If a system using 1 of 5 numbers repeating at a 50% rate was based on past drawing statistics, back testing only proves what is a

scratch offs seem to be cheap thrills. when your down thats when you win, but its never more then you need to win ... if i would of won $10K instead of $4K all would of been well ... when you chase wins you get nothing 99% of the time. $100 bucks here and there but thats just extra play money. then you read of some 100 years old grandma or a first time ever player win the big one, just an insult too all the money you put in trying to win yourself. after all, we are the ones paying for those j

What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
We could look at the percentage of possible combos each method has if that helps. The pick-4 bet has 0.01% and the pick-5 bet has 0.00347%. Odds are usually expressed as chances to lose (575737) to chances to win (20). It's no different than on a crap table when Five is the point and there are 6 ways to roll a Seven and 4 ways to roll a Five ; rounded off to 3 to 2 odds. 100,000 tickets have a 21% chance and the house would gladly take that bet on a $100,000 jackpot. The rolling jackpots are

What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
I thought people played for the jackpots and not for the $1 they are expected to get by wagering $10 on a 5/39 game. My goals using any system are to wager as little as possible for a chance to win a jackpot. I played RC5 for $20 every drawing for over six weeks at a small profit; that's almost 900 chances to hit the jackpot without spending a dime. I'll never know if I had hit a jackpot playing QPs because I never asked a lottery clerk for 900 QPs and those 900 combinations were never genera

N.M. lottery celebrates anniversary, tackles challenges
NM oughta work on their games to increase play. They have miserable little jackpots. 20 to 30 some thousand for Roadrunner Cash ain't much to get excited about.

NY Scratch-off Discussion
I have never lost 6 in a row on the $30 ticket from what I remember. I think my biggest losing streak (keep in mind I buy this ticket often) was 2 tickets. Not trying to get personal here, but I must ask what you do for a living to be losing $500+ almost everyday? It'd be one thing if you had a previous $5K win or something and you're spending profit, but it seems like you just keep losing, buying, losing etc. James: The NY scratch-offs are actually not bad, they have the highest jackpots
