How awful. ALWAYS REMEMBER EVERYONE who is in this horrid situation,it can be avoided,by simply a few astute steps: PROTECT YOUR WINNING$$$ Simply by: 1.)sign a document adaging, If monies are won,we will share 1/2 and 1/2 equal split. This is so easy to do,to ensure that later trust me it will hold up in any court of law, with a signed agreement, that if monies are won, from the other party, you're entitle to half,or whatever amount is listed on the official documented agreement.I woul

Montana's $1M lottery raffle winner sued for half of prize
A regular at the Town Pump in East Helena, Montana, is suing 23-year-old Jeff Fallang, who recently hit a $1 million jackpot and has not given the plaintiff a cut. Michael Hess said he went to the store to purchase Montana Millionaire tickets on Dec. 23, and told Fallang if he won, he'd split his winnings, according to documents filed in Helena district court Thursday. Fallang, who was on shift, asked Hess if he could buy a ticket from him. I then told Jeff I would as long as if he was to

At the Florida Lottery headquarters, Timothy Poole, 43, posed for a photo with an oversized check after claiming his $3 million Scratch-Off prize. But when the image hit the Internet, others recognized the 450-pound man as a registered sexual predator. In 2001, The Orange County Sheriff's Office arrested Poole on charges of sexual battery on a 9-year-old boy, records show. Before that, he was arrested in 1991 for stealing almost $20,000 in food stamps from Safeco Inc. of Ocala, where he worke

Governor revamps Missouri Lottery Commission
Gov. Jay Nixon replaced most of the members of the Missouri Lottery Commission on Thursday as he released a report recommending the agency review its policies on prizes and advertising in a quest to route more money to education. The shake-up in oversight at the Missouri Lottery comes after it posted record sales during the past budget year yet transferred less money to education than it had in the previous year. Scotland decision could ride on a lucky lottery ticket
If Scotland votes to separate from the United Kingdom on Thursday, could nationalists have a lucky lottery ticket to thank? Three years ago, Colin Weir, a former television cameraman, and his wife, Christine, a former psychiatric nurse, were enjoying a night watching CSI on the TV. Before going to bed, Christine decided to check their lottery ticket numbers. She checked, and then checked again: the couple from the seaside Scottish town of Largs had just won the 161 million (US$261 million) Eu

anyone know the practical utility of the binomial distribution or other distribution in the lottery?
Thanks, Carbob! Not quite sure what you mean by singles ? This isn't a very interesting distribution since they hit all the time, only skipping one or two draws once in a while. However, I will include a handy do it yourself kit for figuring out where in the distribution a value lies. First, set up a table in excel to record your statistic (repeats, doubles, etc., what ever you want). You want to set up an IF statement which assigns a value of 0 to a hit and adds one to every non-hit va

rcbbuckeye, If you aren't satisfied with how LP is operated, why do you continue to log on and post? See below. For the record, I have never feared being banned, or having my posts deleted. That's understandable. You're a believer, and will probably never post anything unacceptable here. As far as promoting what you call are fallacies, I unable to understand why you have never grasped the fact that this IS a forum for playing the lottery. What make you think I don't
