Michigan Lottery holds new 50/50 raffle draw
Yes, this is better. It feels more like a substantial win to the ticket holder after the 'punch-to-the-gut' 40%+ in taxes is deducted from this $1.2 million dollars. Congratulations on your win -- it's certainly not 'retire now' money, yet it is a tidy use-of-interest-only-fund that will provide peace-of-mind for several years; if it is mainly invested at guaranteed 6%+ APY rather than spent.

How much money do you have to win on the lottery to retire?
here in oz , bank interest is aroind 6% 6.5% is possible, on `1 mill, thats $65k a year for prime ass sitting job. minus around %30 tax thats $45k. not quite s living like a wealthy person but living like a millionaire means $45k a year. so id say to retire $2M in aussie dollars. anything on top is just gravy

My New 2010 3-digit Chart for all States
Don't fret and don't retire the chart. It's just a case of Random Number Displacement. It happened to me the other day when I was using the chart for the dog racing, and only had 5 or 6 out of 14 races. Every method will have a bad day, or dry streak. That's true randomness at work.
