Pennsylvania Lottery privatization Q&A
Looks like Dan answered the second part farther down the article. Probably because that part of the question deals with revenue which is his area of responsibility. Bottom line for this lottery as well as any lottery is to bring in as much money as possible. Lotteries are not charitable organizations. As to whether this would really increase revenue, I have no idea. Apparently they think so or they wouldn't be trying to change.

Do some number combinations have better odds?
As long as you realize that gives you no advanatage over a QP player or any other player, fine. But that's not what you've been implying throughout this thread. In fact you've stated the opposite many times, so clearly you think that giving up some chances of winning to increase your odds of winning other times doesn't just even out, (which it does) it helps you (which it doesn't.)

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Boney526, I agree. There really isn't a more delicate way to put it. People like Stack47 are either true believers or are paid for their efforts here. If they truly are believers, they either experienced short term winnings way out in the right hand tail of an ROI distribution, or know someone well who did. Retired casino employees often start to believe in systems as a result of observing customers win with [E.G.] roulette systems, particularly the kind discussed above. Even when prese

New York: 12/1 - 12/31/2012
Smart recycling numbers. I had the last few draws written down and they were past plays that I dropped. I should have even played today but didn't and the 680 showed. LOL I'm trying to get my plays down to only 10 numbers or less a draw. I am also working on a few different ways to figure my plays. I am hoping by the new year to have everything ready so I can try to increase my wins to hopefully 2 times or more a week.

Mega Millions - No Winner, JP Stays At $12M
All Birthday Numbers and 9 lucky folks matched 5 for $250k each! Considering the first rollover on a new MM jackpot only goes up by 1 to 2 million, I'd say that's where the increase for Friday went, paying off those 9 prizes.

Mega Millions - No Winner, JP Stays At $12M
Funny, the cash value on my tic is 9.1 million. The NEW cash value is 9 million, down 100,000. Obviously didn't sell enough tics to increase the prize. Really, I know the odds are very high, but 9 million is plenty enough to live out my days, and I'm not that old.

2012 YTD Multi State JP Performance
Powerball had a way better year than mega millions. One jackpot for the record is all mega millions could muster in 12 months because the mega millions will not be that high bye the end of the year. Powerball ruled 2012 with 2 $200 million plus jackpots and 2 $300 million plus jackpots not mega millions. Who cares if it is a dollar to play. I would much rather pay the extra dollar for a shot at a nice prize than play for jackpots that can't even break $100 million. Plus I usually only buy one or
