$330 MILLION: Mega Millions lottery jackpot nears record high
KY Floyd Some things never change. I've spent years trying to eductate you about this, but maybe that's just not possible . And in all those years this board has grown to over 100,000, which means an awful lot of tickets played, an awful lot of odds reductions , and how many jackpots hit? Maybe you know the differmce between a fairy tale and a war story.

The best software for predicting Lotto #s in the current market
The upgraded version of MaxHitPro had 5000 different systems and you could filter them by the number of combinations used by each system. For instance if you wanted to use the ten combinations, it would scan for the top 10 systems using ten combinations. What it didn't do give you the top 10 consistent systems over a period of time. To do that I would go back 20 drawings and re-enter the daily numbers one at a time and run the program and write down which systems showed for each drawing, hopeful

MADDOG'S Powerball Challenges (Discussion)
RJOh, You're correct regarding Todd's comments on the Powerball article, but if you look back at the attacks I had to deal with when citing Wikipedia to explain The Gambler's Fallacy, I think you'll find a different story. Although I don't fully agree with Todd's critique of the PB article, he cited a specific passage and what he didn't like about it. Those who have a strong psychological need to believe in the fallacy blindly mounted emotional attacks on Wikipedia itself without attempting t

Merry Christmas indeed! Lucky N.Y. lottery player wins $49M
And the NY and Federal Tax Grinch's get their rotten hands on the winner's money! Jackpots should be tax free, then the economy would actually be stimulated! this is me trying to pound some sense into a liberal politician! Congrats to the winner!

Ga Lottery Is A Cheat!! Specialy The $ 20 Tickets ,Printing Money With Blank Tickets !!
I see what you are saying, and I agree to an extent, but I think on the back of the tickets it says odds of winning overall are 1 in X . So even as the game plays on and the jacpot has been won, according to them there could still be one left. I think SC is bad, but at least honest in that tthe bottom of EVERY scracth off says tickets may continue to be sold even after all jackpots have been won Like you said you have to check the internet. And I agree not everyone has it or knows how to

paurths, Please show me where I said quick picks are a system. I said they win jackpots more often, which they do. For your dartboard example, I will add this, the person with one dart is probably much more aware that they are blindfolded, I'm not sure the person with 10 darts is even aware of it if thye've been touted (told how to play by someone else). That's because some hustler has told them they are sure to hit something throwing the darts the way that person tells them to.

something fishy going on
There are two MM drawings a week, 52 weeks in a year, and maybe 8 to 12 or 15 jackpots paid a year. How many tickets do you think are played? As soon as you turn that dollar or two (Megaplier) into a ticket you are not suppossed to win. The game is set up so that when anyone does win it's a fluke, but the potential payoff makes it irresistable.
