Maryland lottery fan takes home $100,000 in Pick 5 after winning top prize twice
If I win a Maryland Lottery prize can I remain anonymous?
Yes, you can. When we meet with winners who claim prizes at our Baltimore office, we encourage them to embrace the moment and celebrate by posing for a photo that we can publish. However, anyone who wins a prize on a Maryland Lottery draw game ticket, FAST PLAY ticket or scratch-off ticket has the right to remain anonymous. We do not release any such winner s name or photo unless the winner has specifically given us written consent to

Tipping clerks after a lottery win.
No, I would not tip the clerk for any win.
For starters, the clerks also do play the lottery and can buy a ticket from the same store they work in - who do they tip when they win anything?
Secondly, I live in a state that allows for anonymous winners, if I win any jackpot, tipping the clerk is as good as laying a trap in full view of the birds, the word gets out as fast as a bush fire. Good luck remaining anonymous after tipping the clerk and good luck with that NDA with the store clerk

Big Prize Winners on LP
Only a tiny percentage of members are active so even if several of the inactive members won a big prize , we'll never know. It looks like the consensus here is claiming anonymous or trying to remain anonymous as much as possible.
If we assume that 50% are active in playing different lottery games
If half the lottery post members bought two PB tickets each for last Saturdays drawing, it's only 0.76% of the total sales. Not saying nobody here won a big prizes, but a quarter of a million

Michigan bill may allow lottery winners of multi-state games to remain anonymous
If they would prefer to play games that allow them to have that anonymity, they can play games that are offered just within Michigan, Harris continued. And there are still great prizes to be had on those games.
Or allow ticket buying via telephone or internet so players can buy tickets from anonymous states.
Or get friends or family members in anonymous states to buy you tickets there thus reducing Michigan sales by fair competition.
That is a better idea...putting an end to th

Bill to allow Pennsylvania lottery players to claim anonymously passes unanimously in Senate
For one it's not about being famous or not being famous it's actually about living your life how you want and how you like. Number two the amount of people that are going to be killed by being Famous is directly proportional to the amount of people that will be killed Anonymously . Number three I don't want to go to the bank and they call police everyday because I have lots of cash and I have to fight to explain am not a Drug dealer am a lottery winner and they will say ye right prove it and I s

Bill to allow Pennsylvania lottery players to claim anonymously passes unanimously in Senate
Personally l don't want to be anonymous but depends on my mood that day and the jackpot amount maybe maybe not. However l think all anonymous laws should expire after Ten Years this will at least give the public sense of fairness :). We live in a strange World . Remember the Airline that installed security doors to the snip pit and the Pilot was the one that committed Suicide so we need to have some Open Security too. So Ten years is good enough to put your S...together .

$70 million Michigan Powerball winner says lottery winners should be able to remain anonymous
The lottery knows about scammers and the increased burden on law enforcement caused by revealing names but they don't care because someone else has to deal with that.
States that let winners stay anonymous don't seem to have problems increasing sales or selling tickets.
Please back your assertion with facts about how much identifying winners increases sales. Michigan went anonymous for state games in 1988/89 and they have had increasing sales almost every year after that!

Lottery state chart/anonymity and claimants
A while back Ca Governor Newsom had three lottery drawings for vaccine recipients. There were two drawings where a total of 30 people won $15k (I think) a later drawing where the (3?) prizes were over $1m. It was up to the winners to remain anonymous.
This appears to have set a precedent for California winners to remain anonymous...
What say you?

NJ man admits running illegal "Pick 6" lottery, evades $65,000 in taxes
With Covid-19 it is easier, for the time being to remain anonymous.
If I were to get surprised as you say, I'd have Chip Polston, KLC contact Todd to do an anonymous story on me!
Haven't been to Fun Club yet, but I'm sure it won't have a Megaplier...but beggars can't be choosers. Second place is fine with me!

Delaware Lottery celebrates its 45th year in operation
Wow, 45 years and an anonymous state!
I believe NH was the first of the recent state lotteries in the 1960's...I'll have to try to google up a list. Michigan has a 50th coming up in two years maybe Michigan will be anonymous by then. There must be several other states who are about to have 40 or more years in and it will be fun to see what they do for theirs.
congrats to the players
