how are they going to draw the new mega
I think if they went with computerized drawings they would loose out on the big marketing potential of having live drawings for record jackpots. They could have celebrities draw balls live on tv at some famous location to draw more attention to the game for record jackpots. If it's a computer drawing then no big potential marketing push. The whole point of these games should be to generate money for the states that participate.

Powerball now has the top JP
I agree, strange to see Powerball back on top! Here's the link to the Jackpots page, to see every jackpot in the USA, Cananda, and UK (sorted any way you wish):https://www.lotterypost.com/jackpots(There are still a few dead games in that list I need to remove.)

Mega Millions changing June 24 -official
I for one would like to see MegaMillions restructured to the point where jackpots are won in the $20-$50-million range. We're being played for suckers if we have to wait for someone to win a $300-$400-million jackpot! No one really needs that kind of money. Why not restructure where there could be 8-15 winners or so how of those super jackpots?

Mega Millions changing June 24 -official
I am just happy to final get a date for when MM will be available in CA. I live in CA and have been wanting the large jackpots of MM compared to the usually small jackpots of SuperLotto PLUS - especially since there are no reputable online ticket sources for MM. Well, now my calendar looks like:May 19 - see RotSJune 24 (morning) - buy my first MM ticket(s)June 24 (evening) - win my first MM jackpotJune 25 - wake up and see if it was all a dream!

New Georgia Fantasy 5 Game in 11 Days
Quote: Originally posted by LOTTOMIKE on March 31, 2005 maybe they are going to twice a day drawings? they don't need to mess with the matrix, thats why i play pick 5 games because they are easier,if i wanted better jackpots then i would play powerball but i'm looking for something that i have a nice chance of winning.....my thoughts exactly. i play mega millions and powerball when the jackpots hit over $25 million cash value, but a good odds are always what I shoot for. either that or number

110 people match 5 white powerball #'s
I believe 110 winners is a record. I checked the three previous record Powerball jackpots of $314.9, $295.7 and $294.8 million. Those three draws all had fewer than 110 winners. The largest had 91 second tier winners. Now there may be another draw that did not have a large jackpot with more than 110 second tier winners. If there was a higher number, I expected to find it when tickets sales were at their highest (that is, record jackpots).Good luck,Jake

New Georgia Fantasy 5 Game in 11 Days
Nowadays lotteries go for the bigger matrixes and the bigger jackpots. Soon pick 5 games will be 5 out of 50 matrixes. There is really no where to go for those that want to win smaller jackpots say of 100k or less.

Too many players winning Powerball, lottery says
Quote: Originally posted by tg636 on March 23, 2005>They also need to change the current lame rules regarding record jackpots. What are the lame rules? The lame rule is the match 5 bonus rule that once the jackpot hits the record it goes up in 25 million increments and the rest is used to be divided in amongst the 5+0 winners. So instead of 100 grand you will get like 500 grand or 1 million. It acts like a cap on the jackpot and it is a stupid idea because I like the biggest jackpots as possi

Powerball Matrix Change?
Current rules would prohibit large jackpots anyways since there are limits on them unlike Megamillions. I think they would have to change that rule and the matrix to boost sales. I think that states are finally complaining about the sales droping since record jackpots can really be a windfall for participating states.

Powerball changing, will you still play?
As if the game is easy to win now. The jackpots aren't enough considering the current odds. $10 million in a state lottery like Washington would be great. I'd play it in a heart beat but for 120 million to one I expect a bigger prize. I can only hope they fix it soon and toss the stupid rules regarding record jackpots as well.
