What to do with $1000 for lotteryReply
Good poll! For me it would be a choice between 1 ticket for 1000 drawings or 10 tickets for 100 drawings. I usually like to play 2 or 3 lines, but I would never buy a bunch of tickets at once. I would draw out the money as long as I could.

It's not like you're going to give the guy your name, or that you ever have to go to where you purchased your winning ticket again. I wouldn't do either. I would just smile when a sales clerk says that. Fortuneately they never have. I am glad this poll got so many responses. It is my first poll. Thank you! Funny, I wasn't really interested in this poll, until the Texas 2 Step has climbed to 1.6 mil tonight. I have thought about if I win that much, as much as I want to retire, that really would not be enough. I would still have to take what is left from taxes and invest for 4 or 5 years to make sure me and my wife would not outlive the money. So I voted 5 mil. That would probably do the trick.

I know this has been pounded but THIS ONE IS FOR FUN. What's the best (fun) reason for cash instead of an annuity? I mean, there is the Mayan prophecy about 2012 (The Mayan calendar just stops at 12-21-2012), the world is indeed a powderkeg, no one can really foresee the future, etc... coolest poll ever......this happened to me the day of that Mega millions drawing..i handed the clerk the playslip and just as he started to insert it into the machine the power went out...I said wow i'm gonna hit something for sure...waited around but power wasnt coming back anytime soon...i went to another store about two miles down, played same numbers and had no matches whatsoever on 10 lines...
