Quick picks do fairly well in PA..I've had straight hits come from them, boxed hits too. The ones that keep on showing up usually are pretty good ones either for the whole number itself or just the strong pair or mirror. I'd certainly keep it in, it might be from the winning pool. Consider matching them up to w/o's if you do them and see what stands out. 273 might show as 773 or 223 or 278. Did the three times you got it all have it placed as 273?

It's basically a wash, no real change in total payout. All they've done is increase the variability of the 3rd-9th prizes, that's all. The real change would be if either MM or PB steps beyond the standard 50% of sales prize pool, to maybe 55% or 60%, then that would be something. Doesn't matter for us Californians though, being pari-mutuel with no Powerplay option.(I don't miss it though...) That would depend on how many balls are in the pool and how many are drawn. I use statistical tests to determine significance, and you would be surprised how many times a number can repeat/out before it is considered non-random. It's usually a large number. Example: 1000 draws for 1 of 10 (when I say 1 of 10, I mean i.e. the first position in Pick 3) If a ball appears =140 times or = 60 times it is pretty close to significant.
