Too many players winning Powerball, lottery says
Yeah, but if Mega Millions changes the odds, they'll have higher jackpots and even less people will play Powerball. I myself have played Powerball only once since the beginning of the year because Mega Millions and even the Illinois Lotto have had larger jackpots.

ball drawings vs. computer drawings
I'd say PB might actually be in danger of something of that sort. Someone's taking the jackpots fairly consistently for some time before they get much beyond 18 million, usually around 10. If the motivation for computerizing is to cut the early jackpots to let the prizes grow and generate the big bucks for the sponsors, they have the cause on PB right now.But if they decide to do it, nothing's likely to stop it happening.Jack

Streak of jackpot winners is bad luck for Powerball lottery sales
tg636: The states make much less money when the jackpots stay small. Sure, they make money, but less than what big multi-state games are supposed to make. In that case, as RJOh said, it's time to change things up.If you're looking for a lotto game that has frequent winners, that's what your state's Pick 6 game is for. The big multi-state games are there to have big rollovers and big jackpots.

NH Lottery jackpots
Does anybody wonder why the New Hampshire website mentions the current Tri-State Megabucks (which may or may not be gone soon) jackpot, but not of Hot Lotto?

CT Radio Ads absent?
It just occurred to me that I haven't heard a radio ad for Connecticut Classic Lotto in a very long time.Wouldn't this be a good time to bring them back?I also wonder if sales for this game took any negative (relatively speaking) hit recently when the billboards advertising the jackpots in Classic Lotto and Powerball showed Classic Lotto's jackpot at $1.0 million. Several times on the present roll the billboards indicated jackpots of just $.6 million, $.7 million, etc. Someone isn't doing their

To INCREASE sales REDUCE the PB Matrix

Idaho Powerball Winner
four4me: Good call. There's a significant population of lottery players who want the jackpots to be won more often - and don't really like the mega jackpots. (More millionaires made; fewer mega-millionaires.) That group of players must be happy with all this Powerball winning!

Anyone got an idea for a new type of lott
somehow the Hoosier Lottery (before the computerized drawings) managed to have an all-cash lotto game in which jackpots got into the multi-millions. it was called Lotto Cash. somehow the jackpots got pretty big, even though it was all cash.
