Judging from the number of second place winners, it could be a while before anyone wins the jackpot. Before the price increase, it was common for both MM and PB to have 10 or more second place winners for at least one drawing before the jackpots were won. When it's won, it going to be a big let down for those folks who think they deserve to win, especially if they think the winners are less deserving than themselves.

I vote for it to be a bullseye. This is a nice increase on the jackpot, it'll cover the high rise condo in an income tax free state that I have my eye on!

I hope if they do, they also increase the lower tier payout amounts too. PowerBall only increased the payouts for matching the bonus ball by $1 and left all the other payout amounts the same as they were. Matching 5+0 already paid $1M when the ticket cost $2 and the lower prizes were at least doubled too. No wonder now there's more money for the jackpot.

With 2 dollar per line cost many players will cut back on the amount of lines. But the game may bring in the same revenue. Fewer lines purchased means better odds the jackpot may not be won as often. Which may increase the jackpot prize higher.

It did not hit yesterday, the jackpot that is. Now it is in a range give or take, should it have been through the consecutive rollovers, at half the current ticket price. I expected the rollover to have been a bit higher. The executives failed to execute their well intentioned plan, I suppose. Nonetheless, not many people will turn their nose on the lovely jackpot price, the increase in ticket price be darned!
