N.C. lottery store owners, employees winning big and often
The owner of the store, Becky Ozmun, won a dozen jackpots in about 13 months - including a $10,000 payout and a $150,000 prize.
One employee of a store selling tickets in eastern North Carolina won 10 times in a little over a year - including a $100,000 jackpot.
Sounds like these store owners and their employees have a pretty good system - winning a lottery jackpot almost every month while their customers are lucky if they win a jackpot once in a life time.

winning then playing with your winnings
The odds of winning the game's jackpot are the same as the number of lines you would have to play to guarantee a jackpot. This only works for jackpots, the odds of lower tier prizes do not equal the number of lines necessary to guarantee that prize.
Anyway, you would have to wait until the prize rolled over to be worth more then the number of lines necessary to play to win. Then if you won, you would have to wait again for the jackpot to grow bigger then the odds. The problem is the probab

How many of you feel discouraged when more states join PB or MM?
That's what happens when they add a state though.
Peope get excited over the promise of bigger jackpots. The Possible $500,000,000 Jackpot with the addition of California to Mega Millions hasn't happened yet, not even close.
I rhink I'd rather see a third multi-state entity (something beyond the three state Win for Life) than I would anymore Powerball or Mega Million expansions.
Teh already near impossible odds just get ridiculous.

Canada's Super 7 to end this year in september

THE CANADIAN PRESS
A popular national lottery is being scratched after 15 years.
Canadians will have to cash in on a new lottery on Friday nightsstarting in September when the national Lotto Super 7 comes to an end.
Since the Super 7 was launched in June 1994, it has generated sales of$11.44 billion and players have won $6.73 billion, said Ontario LotteryCorp. spokesman Rui Brum in an interview from Sault. Ste. Marie.
But he noted it has been going for a

Powerball and Mega Millions in every state
Well it looks like previous news reports are coming true. Pretty soon all lottery states will be offering Mega Millions and Powerball at the same time.
But how will these games increase at all will this many potentail players. We will have what 280,000,000 people playing these games. If they don't increase the odds how will the jackpots ever get high again. I mean look at now, we haven't seen a large jackpot in a very long time.

N.Y. looks to join Powerball lottery
The New York Lottery is seeking to enter the 32 jurisdictions currently selling the Powerball lottery as a way to increase state revenue and stop jackpot seekers from heading to other states to play.
The New York Lottery is expected to get the go-ahead to enter Powerball through a provision in the 2009-10 state budget that allows the state to enter more than one multi-jurisdictional lottery. New York participates in the 12-state Mega Millions lottery.

Do you have the urge?...
Actually, I win more $ on Two Step than any other game, but of course the odds are much lower. I usually play power play and megaplier as I too wouldn't mind even hitting for a million.
You have a lot longer drive from OK City. Thackerville is only about 10 miles across the river. I used to drive to Marietta which is another 10 miles or so, until I found Thackerville. It's basically a cross road with a little store.
The only problem with Two Step is that the jackpots rarely make it over 50

Do you have the urge?...
I live in a border region and play either game depending on the expectation value, which means that I am playing less Powerball with the new odds.
I don''t play either when the Jackpots are low, but I play either when the values are high enough.
I'm in on the current MM, but not Powerball. A few weeks ago it was the other way around.

Nevada woman hits $33 million jackpot at casino
You are 100% correct about it being an annuity payout! And the kicker, it's payable over a period of 20 years! And here is something else to think about those so call progressive jackpots! Did you know for every dollar taken in they only put 10 cents toward the jackpot? Yes, it's true. But the jackpot for the one she hit starts at 10 million and goes from there. So, for every 3 dollars only 30 cents went toward the jackpot! What a scam that is! Just think how much had to be played in-order to ge

Question to people who play Ohio Lottery?
I had a similar feeling about Texas a month or so ago when two of their state games had unusually high jackpots, and made two drives to Texas (one specifically to buy tickets, which I knew was insane when I did it, the other in conjunction with a trip to a town close to the Texas border) and won zilch, alas. I did have that feeling and would have regretted it and felt bad if I hadn't given it a good shot. So I don't blame you for giving a good try.
In about a month, work will take me to Ohio
