Probability of a MegaMillions rollover.
The Megamillions has rolled over. The cash value is $107.3M the annuity value is $189M. The cash value is higher than Powerball's and I doubt that Powerball will catch up again in this run. The previous jackpot reached a cash value of $92.9M
As before, the lottery continues to rise as if it had skipped a drawing. The jackpot/sales were more consistent with a 12th drawing than a 11th drawing. I will therefore treat this upcoming drawing as a 13th drawing statistically rather than as if

Florida 60% payouts
Cash, am I misunderstanding you? I once posted in response to this question that I check out the payouts every time someone claims a jackpot for MegaMoney and Lotto and they are usually 70-75% (for MegaMoney) and 55-65% (for Lotto) depending on the amount of tickets purchased. I've seen payouts for the Lotto as high as 67%, but never less than 50%..usually more. As John wrote above, the payouts are pari-mutuel including Fantasy 5 and are based upon the total revenues for that particular drawing

Kansas Lottery adds 'Hot Lotto' game
Forget it LOTTOMIKE, Cash is on a kick to tie everything back to his/her fantasy non-existant hated games.
It would be interesting to see what happens to Powerball if it went RNG. I would stop playing, but I doubt most people would.
One other type of game I don't play, and this may seem a little picky. If the ball drawing is not televised (on TV, internet, etc.) then I will not play it. One game this applies to is Virginia's Cash 5 night game. If you watch the netcast of the drawings (che

Michigan Long Out Hits -Stats-
Im not really sure if you go by the dates alone, but it would be something like the number of days X 2 if there was two drawings every single day of the year. Of course, there are probably holidays and possible leap years and the such to account for. I really dont pay much mind to the dates but I do record them to make sure I have every drawing. Basically, I just give each drawing a game #, which is an ongoing count of all drawing in order of first to last...oldest to most recent.

I just noticed something...DC came out with 4 9 in two consec draws with 4 coming out first...so your rule says take the lows. However, with the 2nd drawing, it came out 497, so I would be more inclined to take HIGHS because there are 2 highs in that number. Just a thought...
LOWS due in first drawing tomorrow: IDAHO
HIGHS due in first drawing tomorrow: CALIFORNIA, WEST VIRGINIA, TENNESSEE

The final drawing for Lotto South...
The final drawing for Lotto South was yesterday and no one won the $4.5 million annuatized jackpot.
The cash value of the final jackpot was $2.25 million. Lottery players won $654,544 and the remaining $1.6 million is going to be kept by the lottery commissions.
Not a very good deal for the lottery players in Georgia, Virginia and Kentucky.

If you are going to buy 46+ tickets.....
No it wouldn't defeat the game. Because the normal player buys only 1 - 5 tickets. They don't spend $40+ on lottery tickets for a drawing. When they do, like in the lastest powerball drawing...they sell $160,000,000+ worth of tickets and it is won. That is what the lottery wants to happen. If people were spending $46+ per drawing that jackpot would be huge all of the time. But that isn't that way it works and the lottery knows that.

Record Powerball lottery jackpot claimed by 8 meat plant workers
Does anyone know how much they spent on tickets for that drawing? It makes sense that any person or pool who spends $25 or $50 a drawing on tickets has a better chance than my 1 ticket, but they also lose more when they don't win big, which is 99.9% of the time. My feeling about the lottery is that it's not about maximizing my chance to win, it's keeping my losses at a minimum while still having fun. If a person spends $5 a drawing and I spend $1, at the end of one year I'm about $400 ahead of
