mega millions and powerball joined as one
Quote: Originally posted by Annual Payments on February 16, 2005speaking of a 3rd game, maybe they can have a national lottery that's in all states with jackpots like that, in addition to mega millions and powerball. but then if that happened i might not be too happy living in Louisiana and seeing jackpots always being won in CA, PA, NY, and FL. What's wrong with winning in NY? hehe j/k

New version of Powerball in 2005?
I doubt it. Even though their average jackpots are below some of the biggest state lotteries I doubt they will change. Would be nice to think that they would see falling sales matching those small jackpots and make some changes though.

Powerball and Mega Millions Merger
Don't you think it would be great to have one huge Lottery called Power Millions with super Jackpots? Jackpots in the Hundreds of Millions all of the time.

i think the jackpots would end up being split twice as often as they are now. i prefer having the two different lotteries; its nice to be able to compare jackpots and payouts against one another.

Mega Millions when CA joins
The 47 million (47.4) is off the really good lottery results page right here at lottopost. If you have the time you can just add up the total jackpots and get the same results. I think that people dreaming of 400 or even 300 million jackpots are doing just that with the current game. The massive jackpot they keep hyping was before NY, NJ OH, WA, TX and the new states joined. In fact it was just 6 states so very few players.

CALIFORNIA JOINS MEGA MILLIONS
i think mega millions will need to change the matrix in order for the jackpots to roll. as i said in a previous thread, CA will kill the jackpots if the odds don't get harder.

CALIFORNIA JOINS MEGA MILLIONS
My predictions are that MM will raise the minimum jackpot, the jackpots will grow much faster, the jackpots will definitely get into the $100 million range as often as they do today, and they will not be forced to make changes to the game's matrix. But I guess no one knows for sure until it happens!

CALIFORNIA JOINS MEGA MILLIONS
I think we will see jackpots grow faster, but if California kicks in with big sales I also think it will mean the jackpot will not roll as often and we will not see the $100 million jackpots very often at all. If that continues for very long, I'm sure Mega Millions will change the matrix to make the odds longer. I guess that would be ok, I like the excitement that is generated by a big jackpot.

CALIFORNIA JOINS MEGA MILLIONS
Either jackpots will be huge, or there will be so many tickets sold jackpots will be won before they can get huge. We will see.
