Some public records like drivers licences are covered under the full faith and credit clause in Article IV of the U.S. Constitution; for instance a valid New York drivers license allows New York residences to legally drive in California. State licenses like hunting or fishing are not covered under Article IV because they are designed to do specific things within that state. A New York hunting or fishing license is not valid in California but a New Yorker can purchase a license in California to h

A little page to help with manual 5/39 play...
When we use all 39 numbers, we always have a realistic chance of winning the jackpot, but at best only two of the combinations can win anything. If we play the same eight combinations every day, we should expect the return to be about the same as starting odds; we should expect to match 4 out of 5 once for every 3387 tickets we buy. There are number of other ways to arrange the eight combinations like using standard filters that when successful could slightly raise the overall win expectation.

Ohio Lottery website taking a survey of possible MM changes.
What does the extra dollar add to the jackpot? Since they don't mention that, I am lead to believe that it does nothing for the jackpot and they are just trying to force everyone to buy the Modified Megaplier. Under the forced Megaplier ticket, I would wait until it got to at least $125 Million before I bothered to get a ticket. Michigan gets the jackpot once per year on average (sometimes we get 0, sometimes 1, sometimes 2 jackpots in one year). If I were forced to get the megaplier option I

N.J. lawmakers want full disclosure of lottery prizes
Here's an idea for all you lottery executives: For higher priced games anything above $5 per card why don't you simply have it built into the rules that once the jackpots have all been sold, the price for the game goes down to $1? That way, people are aware that the jackpot is gone, and you can still make some money selling off the rest of the tickets. I can see many people jumping at the chance to buy a highly-discounted scratch game for a second-tier prize. How about it?

Sweet dreams in hard times add to lottery sales
Do you buy lottery tickets and dream sweet dreams about winning millions$ of dollars? Maybe that dream can come true for you as it has for dozens of others who have won lottery jackpots with my scientific systems. The most common lottery numbers people play are birth dates, ages, and lucky numbers. If you're one of these lottery players who have been endlessly waiting for dumb luck to strike - you're now in luck because there is a solution!-given by Emily Haisley he says you must play in order f

International super lottery to create jackpots of $500 million or more
When MegaMillions and PowerBall made their last matrix changes, there were talk of a possible $500M jackpot but it never happened. I'm sure when PB changes its matrix again in January, there will such talks again. There would be no advantage for any state to join an international game as long as PB and MM are available. The problem is jackpots have to start out small because no state or country is going to contribute more to the jackpot then they can recover in tickets sales for each drawing

International super lottery to create jackpots of $500 million or more
$1 Trillion is way too high, considering the US GDP is $12 trillion and the world's is closer to $55 trillion But I agree...if there is going to be an international jackpot it should be in the billions. The problem, however, is we think our multi-state lotteries have bad odds, imagine what an international lottery would be like. I'd rather have a national lottery, perhaps by merging MegaMillions and Powerball. Start at $40 million and go up. We'd approach $1 billion jackpots and the odd

Missouri Lottery changing games Monday
They probably noticed that other states were making more money with their 5/39 games. When Ohio had a 6/49 +1 game with a starting jackpot of $4M and that rolled $1M every drawing, they replaced it with the lousy game Lot'O Play which they said was better and in response to players when actually they were losing money with the old 649+ game, the payout were too large. A year later they got rid of Lot'O Play and replaced it with a classic version of the 649 game which they said was better and

Powerball lottery jackpot up to $81M for Wed.
Yup, big increase that isn't even reflective of how many potentially new players there will be from Florida joining. They just wanted worse odds than MM so they can easily reclaim the jackpot record. Do you think it'll make it to over 400 million the first time out or will it take a few months? It's going to be weird how Mega Millions will now have the better odds... Though that's not saying much. Has Mega Millions or the Big Game ever had better odds than Powerball before? I'm sure they h

$132 million Mega Millions jackpot was purchased in Mableton, Georgia.
I don't put so much stock in annuity dollars earned per state (as far as JPs are concerned). The reason: California could win three jackpots at 12, 16 and 24 million respectively but Georgia, with only a fraction of California's population, can also win three but $100 million each. While you look at the annuities, Cali has $52 million and Georgia has $300 million, you look at the number of JPs won, and cross reference it with the population base. Now, one could say people in Georgia play the
