Taterman,listen to me for a second,ok?
Pick 3 can ruin you financially unless youre very wealthy or have a killer strategy....
If you want to play a HIGHER STATISTICAL number then pull it off of the MISSING COMBINATIONS LIST ...!!!!
The MCL is the meanest baddest list there is PERIOD,ya know why?
Because they are MISSING COMBINATION's ...!!!!! They have to hit and they are arranged per 100 set to give you an idea of what youre up against statistic wise..!
The general idea is to pl

I'm beginning to believe powerball is BS... !!
Here is why: did you notice when Florida was added which BTW is a highly populated state that the over all money in the pot did not grow at a faster rate...now why is that....why would it not grow faster?
The states take waaaaaay tooo much money out of the general pool and put in just what they want...plus they increased the odds by adding more balls so it is even harder to win now...
Pick3, pick4,cash5, powerball..etc.. is just another tax

Things i've noticed: How do you plan to get the 100 Mill mark if is only 4 to 5 times a year
This is for powerball.
If you choose to specify the numbers yourself, you select five distinct numbers between 1 and 59, and one Powerball number between 1 and 39. The Powerball can be the same as one of the first five numbers, because it is drawn from a separate number pool from the first five numbers.
The odds are 1 in 195 million to match 5 white balls and the powerball.
There is only one way to look at it not several different ways. They are not going to change the configuration of

You just hit the Jackpot - 200+ Millions - now what??
I have enough thought out, that I would be on the lottery doorstep when it opens.
I would still buy from the dollar store! I love dollar stores!
Buy my remote, but not too remote ranch. And build my self supporting house, expensive to build, cheap to maintain, solar, wind, geothermal, greenhouse, swimmin' pool.
Set up my brokerage account and buy commodity stocks until my eyes bleed. Focusing on investing for charity would be my reason to be on earth, market open 7:30am to 2PM . I live relati

Jackpot Chasers
I don't understand the confusion on buying tickets in different areas.
If you're playing your own numbers it doesn't make any difference where you buy them.
If you're buying quick picks, outside of occasional anomalies you still have the same chance as anyone else.
If more winners are sold in a particular state it is in direct keeping with the number of tickets sold there.
Buying a ticket in that state does not improve your odds of winning.
We are all in the same pool and if all t

If Your State Had Both Powerball and Mega Millions
Good point about the option to not play at all and switch to the state lottery, I didn't think of that.
But on the other hand I've always felt it's worth a buck to play the big jackpot games no matter what the odds are or how low the jackpot is.
That's because even though you're fairly certain not to win; if you don't have a buck in you're definitely certain not to win.
The only certainty is that somebody's buck is going to win millions at some point.
I play a buck each time and with

Mega Millions jackpots
I'm no statistician, but I believe I can offer some insight.
It's true that any line of numbers has an equal chance of winning, and it's also true that where more tickets are sold more jackpots will (over time) be won.
The problem with the assumption that it's better to play in a state that's had more wins is that it isn't a pool. The jackpots are won by individual ticketholders, not by states. If you buy a ticket in Maryland, and the winning ticket is sold in Maryland, it's more likely th

Football
Thank You VERY MUCH tiggs
I don't think it was a jealuosy thing, I think it's just that the Gaming section doesn't get
very much air time. But at $6 dollars per person it's kinda lottery realated
and that almost equates to 126 people in the pool.
And I feel vey Lucky and previledged to have won it.
(don't get me wrong I only lost 3 the week before)
Any way We've got ours in for this comig week already. (Wed. is turn-in day)
...again THANKS!!!!

Football
Ohhhhh I was so close to winning the NFL Football pool at Work yesterday,
I was undefeated (hadn't missed any games) coming in to the Steelers/ Chargers game
If San Diego had won ....I would have won the pot. But they didn't.....so...
I'm still in it for tonight having suffered one loss
I need Minnessota to win, and my points have to be good.
I only posted because I had never been this close before.
The pot is a little over $700 hundred dollars this week
