Defunct Games
Sure, how about New Jersey's Lotzee game?Lotzee was removed from the NJ game lineup about 2 years ago, and was an interesting oddball of a game. Here's some background info I had on the game, including how to play:Lotzee had 63 different ways to win on each ticket played, with some of the best odds of winning a prize (1 in 7). Lotzee had a top prize of $500,000.Every Lotzee ticket had 5 prize levels. Within each prize level you had between 1 and 8 sets of 4 numbers in play.Between all the priz

More on the Hoosier Lottery...
I recently wrote the Hoosier Lottery with the following comments: I noticed something when I checked my PowerBall tickets today. At the top of each ticket is printed the following message: Remember draw time is now 9:59 PM EST! Sales cut off is one hour before the drawing. As far back as I can remember, sales cutoff has always been one half-hour prior to the drawing. When did this change take place, and when did you announce it? IC 4-30-3-5, Sec. 5 states,

Dumbest Game Ideas
freeplay replay only saw one match-6 winner. it also paid out as a lump sum, which for the odds, wasn't too bad.the IA lottery signed a contract with the IL lottery to save money. that way, their players get a televised drawing that the IA lottery does not have to conduct. IA also goes along with IL's special promotions. for example, since IL is holding a green ball double draw promotion, IA will be holding that promotion as well. they also use IL's pick 4 results for their pick 4 game. i'm gues

Powerball 26-Feb-2005
I was watching the Powerball drawing on Fox61 26-Feb-2005. Mike Pace congratulated the winner of Wednesday's $18.7 million jackpot (but didn't say anything about Idaho, did he?). The camera was on the PowerPlay machine and the ball was about to pass through the last spinners when the picture either went momentarily black then/or directly to a slide showing (among other things) a number 10 in the lower right corner for a few seconds and then a second slide appeared showing the Fox61 logo and the

Parsing
Double buffering is essential for graphics systems, especially computer games. There, most of the time you do not know how much time will take up to draw the next image to display and thus you need to have an already correct image (the last completed) to display, as the monitor beam constantly refresh the monitor. In computer games the trigger is the vertical blank period of the scan beam (or vertical synchronization as called the last years). In computer applications and operating systems, windo

Quote: Originally posted by Sedertree on February 19, 2005 Anyone understand double-buffering and how to use it?This is a common technique. You use two draw buffers. Whilst the 1st one is being displayed on the screen (or a window), you draw on the 2nd buffer. When the 2nd buffer has been filled up by whatever you want, you set this buffer as the display buffer and you start drawing on the 1st buffer. When you have finished drawing on the 1st buffer again, you set this as the display buffer and

The Pigskin Challenge for 01-19-05
Quote: Originally posted by pigskin on January 21, 2005I would propose that if the challenge members feel one of the players is on to something and decides to participate,we decide how many tickets would be played. If someone hits $100 Gs or more, the ticket holder keeps 25%, the players whose system is being used gets 25% and the rest of the players split the remaining 50%. Are we honorable people are not. Of course greed runs rampant but there shouldn't be a problem with just a few players.
