Could there be a "method" Discussion Board?
If you have a method for picking numbers for one of the multi-states or big jackpot games that you would like to discuss just lay it out in a thread in the Lottery Systems forum and LP members who play those type games will probably respond. If you are looking for suggestions on how to improve it, you may find others have tried something similar and made some changes that improved it or they just abandoned it after a while and went in a different direction. After you've been a member for

Powerball Lotto in each state to start a bussiness to better the U.S Economy...
What you suggest will never happen in the USA the lottery cannot force people to start a business. The majority of people who play and win big jackpots do so, so they can retire from their jobs and stop working or pursue their dreams like traveling and such. While the majority of winners might not have the desire to continue working after winning they will spend much of their time trying to find ways to spend their money. The lottery's in the USA are in it to make money for the states they ar

Why I think quick picks suck
CT, We both assume many things, you say some uncollected jackpots are QP played, I say most uncollected jackpots are QP's, the only way to prove this is with actual statistics. The lottery retailers don't make the rules the Lottery boards do that. I've seen people spend $2000 on Qp's. I've heard of even more being spent on QP's at one time. As far as the scanned tickets goes, you forgot to state: How many of the 5 digits matrix were on the QP? answer: zero. 3 QP lines 15 number

Why I think quick picks suck
Jarasan I said that since most tickets are quick picks then probalby most unclaimed winners are quick picks. Then you said you're willing to wager that 90% of uncollected jackpots were QP's, and to prove you wrong. Huh?

Should I play 1-2-3-4-5-6 or what?
Pac The ceiling on Pick 3 and 4 shuts the game off to any additional plays once it has been hit, but if a number that's locked does get hit, the people who did play it get paid the full amount. The payoffs are fixed usually at something like $40, $250, $290 (straight box for $1) and $500 (depends on the state). They're not split like jackpots are.

can it make a difference when, where you buy a qp
As far as buying a QP goes, it is all luck....having the winning numbers drawn match your ticket. One story that has gone around her in Delaware for as long as I can remember (I've lived here since 91) was about a very large lotto jackpot won in PA a few years before 91. A local guy that lived her worked in PA and he and his co-worker were standing in line to buy their tickets for the big PA drawing. His friend stepped out of line a little to talk to a girl, and the local guy moved ahead and got

Smaller jackpot rollovers
Has anyone noticed that since the FL Lottery started the Lotto Plus promotion the jackpots haven't increased as much? Sometimes it seems as if the lower tier prizes are also lower. Maybe it's just the economy, but tonight MegaMoney was $500K and nobody won so it increased to $750K. I've never seen it roll to $750K. It just looked strange to me. Usually the next jackpot is $800K and I've seen $900K during Season. (for the members reading this who don't live in FL, we have 2 seasons here calle

Lottery ticket location
When Ohio had their three MM jackpots in a row one was bought at a Kroger, can't remember if it was the 267/270 million dollar one or the 265 at the moment. Of course there's more winners at these little party stores because I'm willing to bet they sell a lot more tickets than larger stores where people are typically there to do their grocery shopping, unless it's right up front at the service counter or where a lot of people will see it they probably won't do much business and leave where as pe

Lottery ticket location
The Illinois lottery posts the location of jackpot winning tickets on their website, where they were purchased. It seems that the most common are convenience stores and tobacco and liquor marts. Rarely are they from grocery chains. The two big ones downstate are Kroger and Schnucks and whole they probably sell a lot of tickets, it's rare that a jackpot winner is ever bought there. Going by this thread when it comes to jackpots maybe there are grocery chain states and convenience store s
