Don't remember any article like that. My thought is if I could work out a formula to win the lottery (you didn't specify what type of game, but I assume a jackpot game) I wouldn't have to worry about any reward.

So this article is only tailored to a few people who bought tickets in Oregon particularly a few individuals who must have purchased tickets for consecutive drawings. It looks like the glitch misprinted one date wrong: Tuesday, October 29, 2019. This should have actually be printed as Wednesday, October 30, 2019. Good questions. As far as I can tell from the article, the main benefit is Gweneth Dean will join the MUSL Board of Directors and the Powerball Product Group as a voting member. So NY Lottery now has more of a say in the development of Powerball. Considering the historical frequency of PB matrix changes, they are about due for a change.
