Preliminary hearing rescheduled for Tommy Tipton in lottery rigging case
The latest case in a large-scale lottery rigging scheme is headed to the courtroom next week. Tommy Tipton turned himself in earlier this month after being charged with ongoing criminal conduct. Tommy's brother is former Multi-State Lottery Association employee Eddie Tipton, who is currently serving prison time for tampering with lottery equipment. Police say Eddie rigged the Hot Lotto game electronically to win him a jackpot for $16 million in December of 2010. Prosecutors recently

Hi - I'm back after 8 years
Hey there derek7! Well computerized drawings are still a nemesis - Illinois did it for their draw games and really got downgraded on the LP report card. With a few current scandals you can't blame anybody for not liking them. For the most part the most common thread topics in Discussions are cash vs annuity, QP vs self picks, the regular frenzy when a jackpot gets huge (cars, mansions, etc...), Steve Player, Gail Howard, Richard Lustig, etc...etc...

Jackpot-fixing investigation expands to more state lotteries
I saw the story, and I don't think ABC did a good job on it. They are being very confusing with the 30 states thing, because 30 states did not use the computerized equipment being discussed. For example, they highlighted Texas as one of the states, even though Texas uses no computerized drawings. They probably included Texas because Tipton's brother lives there, but it is highly misleading to say that Texas was ever involved. So by all means read any articles, but know that the mainstream ne

HOT LOTTO DRAWING CHEAT CHARGED WITH RIGGING MORE JACKPOTS
Edessa_Knight, There were a bunch of bars in Vegas back in the late 1980s that were all part of a progressive Royal flush jackpot on video poker machines. All the machines were set never to hit a royal. ___________________________________________________________________ This article makes the timing of Illinois going to computerized drawings very suspicious.

So what would the "Holy Grail" of Pick 3 playing be?
Well, of course, the computerized drawings are not truly random. The algorithm is a pseudorandom number generator(PRNG). But, you can ,probably, forget about anyone figuring it out. This is only wishful thinking. Anyway, what exactly makes you believe that they tinkered with the algorithm and ,also, for the purpose of frustrating players? Even if they did, there are other possible reasons for doing so. For example, to either fix an issue or ,simply, make it better. Just fyi, there have been

New Georgia Lottery game starts Sunday
I agree Coin Toss When this game rolled out, it caught my attention (looked interesting)... I played for awhile... glad I stopped... this game does stink. I don't care for computerized drawings either... I really, really want to believe there's nothing shady about them; but it makes me wonder...
