Along with a cash option, the best thing Megabucks could do is go back to the 6/36 number grid it had when it started. There is no jackpot excitement anymore in the age of $200 million MegaMillions jackpots, and there never will be again, so the longer 6/42 odds don't build jackpots and help sales like they did in the past. Why continue the long winless slogs week after week when no jackpot amount will increase sales? I'd like to see more winners.

Conspiracy Theories? Ha!
I guess this evening's Mega Millions win can put to bed once and for all the conspiracy theories about the state lottery jacking up the big jackpots around holiday time .It's rediculous to think that the lotteries could precisely control the jackpots around holiday time, but it's nice to have the actual proof. Hopefully the topic won't surface again next year.Congrats to the latest Mega Millions multi-millionaire!

Mega millions is set up to create large jackpots with the amount of numbers and odds against winning every week. This is what the people wanted in a game. Large jackpots.!!! Their is no conspiracy no control over the game. It's a random number dvent that no on purchased a winning ticket for yet this period.When it gets hit this period another 8 to 14 weeks down the road it will be around Easter when the next big pot is won.

The $2 price means that the jackpot would only double compared to the average right now. Huge jackpots, such as those that come with Powerball and Mega Millions, are generated because several states are involved, with a huge population playing. THAT is the key to huge jackpots. Perhaps getting PA or IN involved would help. Also, WV could use another multi-million dollar jackpot game.

why is it that enigineers and football stars and such win big jackpots.............but your average joe does not? ibm employees were the first texas jackpot winners in a pool, and the trend has not changedive sold jackpot winnings to people who were already almost millionairs but i dont remember selling large payoff or high tier tickets to any average joe you can do a search yourself and read about the persons in texas who win large jackpots and you will see that 90 percent of these people are

you only should play when the jackpots are high, use all your bullets for jackpots that have the best dollar to odds ratio. its just smart playing. when you chase 165 million to one odds you want to be paid that god forbid you hit it. but your a lot smarter playing take fives and such with a lot shorter odds where if you blow 500 bucks when the jackpot is say 500K at least your cutting your odds down to about 1000 to one. and many people have bucked those odds before.
