Anyone watch E! True Hollywood Story: Curse of the Lottery show?
All I actually said was that money is a blessing in the right hands. What does the state, or even the lottery have to do with my statement? Whose hands are the right hands is very subjective and lotteries are games of chance so it doesn't apply unless cheating is involved. What I meant was that their are different types of people out there and how and what lottery winnings are spent depends on the type of person who wins. That is the same as saying a hungry man would buy food, a

Statistics question
There could be 14 winners in any lottery that players are free to chose any combination, but I doubt if any 6/49 game would have a jackpot that big if it had a cash value of half that amount as most lotteries jackpot do now days. Lotteries with odds of 1:10M or more seldom have a cash value greater than the odds of winning them since that investment syndicate won the Virgina lottery over ten years ago as far as I know. Pick5 games with odds of 1:1M or less of winning the jackpot get ja

TENNESSEE LOTTERY-e mail response to computerized drawings
As states add more daily games they won't have enough time to show all the drawings in a minute or thirty second show. As they get away from showing the drawings they won't have a reason to do live drawings with balls and will switch to computerized drawings. Ohio will add a daily Keno game Ten-OH next month and its drawings won't be televised and its drawings will be computerized. In the past Ohio has removed unsuccessful games within a year, Lot'O Play for example. The future of comp

Frankly, I don't think there is a strategy you can use for this.....once a player gets into jackpot games (i.e. games more complex than Pick3/4) I personally think it is often counterproductive to keep changing your numbers for each draw if you are using a wheeling system. The idea is to lay out the net (like your 22 numbers) and then you have to play what what you have wheeled daily (the same lines/numbers/combinations) and wait until the draw comes that fits your wheel. Changing your

Did you know in PB/MM ...
I find that hard to believe. If you could eliminate 90% of the 146M combinations of PowerBall then you would reduce the odds of winning a $100M-$200M PB (1:146M) jackpot to the odds of winning a 6/49 (1:14M) game jackpots of $2M-$10M. Normally the overall odds of winning something playing PB is 1:37, but eliminating 90% of the combinations would reduce those overall odds of winning something to 1:4 which would mean for every four tickets bought you would get back at least the minimum prize of

Canadian Members
The no tax thing is Canada is cool. But I would like to see bigger Jackpots like in Powerball and MegaMillions. Winning 360Mil Tax free would be insanely great.... then you could actually live the lottery dream. Now that 6/49 is back down to 4 million and Super 7 at 2.5 Million.. I personally rather wait until it gets up over 12 Million to win it. a Million dollars just doesn't go that far anymore.

if you found a winning ticket that wasn't yours
I'm leaning toward what Stack47 said on this one. Casino jackpots (slots) are intentionally set up as to avoid being taxed (not the big jackpots, but such as non-progressive video poker). There is a formula or set of rules for each denomination machine, a 25 cent poker machine pays $1199 so as not to be taxed. A dollar machine pays more but the amount where the jackpot would be taxed is higher. Keno tickets have the same type of payout schedule. One of the biggest beefs I ever sazw wa

Mega Winners In Lotto
That's the point I've trying to make. Lacie thought states should create a game that would have several winners and award them all $1M each and I've been saying there no way to create a game with odds of that happening that would generate enough sales to make those kinds of payouts. If you know how many tickets you can sell then you can set the odds of the game such that a number of winners will likely exists. States know they're likely to have about twelve Pick3 winners daily with odds of
