Mega Winners In Lotto
Lotteries sort of act like clearing houses where they offer a starting prize, take their cut out of the money wagered and add what is left to the next draw. If you saw RJ's chart on the amounts wagered on the last big Mega Millions run, you probably noticed the money wagered in just the last 3 draws was enough to cover the jackpot.
Most state advertised lotto jackpots are actually 20 - 30 year annuities so if prize winners take the cash option, they get considerably less. Last night somebody

How Long Will It Be Until We Have A Lotto Billionaire ?
Stack47 writes: More and more states are offering raffles that have multiple $1 million winners and are selling them quickly. The scratch-off sales are over 60% of all lottery sales. Just to get to a $1 billion jackpot, they would need about $2 billion in ticket sales so the question really is will people stop playing raffles, the other online games, and scratch-offs to play that?
Good point! This might be a new topic for discussion, that is, Do the new $10 and $20 Raffles have an effe

How Long Will It Be Until We Have A Lotto Billionaire ?
As the games stand now, I don't see a billion dollar jackpot happening (as others have mentioned in this thread).
Given the same games, and since matrixes expand and expand, jackpots just get more elusive.
The thought of a national lotto is nice, but it would probably kill off at least PB and MM - unless they merged (so to speak) to operate it.
Maybe if all this talk of a North American Union happens, someone will win 1,000,000,000,000 ameros but if that happens we'll be living under

How Long Will It Be Until We Have A Lotto Billionaire ?
Never. I'm not one of the math analysts on this board, but IMHO I think the odds for such a game would have to be too high. Players would get discouraged. Even the PB and MM jackpots haven't reached 1/2 billion and they're nearly impossible to hit. Don't you think a game with odds of 140 or 175 million to one are hard enough to win?
Actually, my last statement doesn't even make sense to me. 1 in 100 million, 1 in 200 million, 1 in 300 million..what difference does it make?

How to Beat Powerball: And drastically reduce the odds (theory)...
Any system that has luck as a major component is no better than QPs or randomly guessing.
The bonifide system you described may have yet to be created and shared before jackpots can be won every time and then the matrix or the rules will change. For many, it's a race against time to create it and win a jackpot before those rules or matrix change again.
Results tell more than any post. When a LP member actually win a jackpot, I will be convinced that maybe they have found something

whats the most you have ever won on a quick pick?
The game I play most is Illinois Little Lotto, it's a 5 / 39 game.
I've been getting the daily e-mail with the list of winners for over three years and I'd say at least 85% of the jackpots winners are quick picks.
If you want to see what the big deal is go to the Illinois lottery website and subscribe to the e-mail.

PA Lottery's Millionaire Raffle returns on 7-7-07
Michigan also announced another raffle starting a week after the draw for the $50 raffle...It starts on the 25th and is a $20 ticket.
Who needs Fantasy 5 anymore? They should have a $2 ticket and call it Double Fantasy ... Why buy the Fantasy Fives when you can save your money for better odds at higher prizes with raffles?
At least a Double Fantasy ticket would crank the Jackpots up higher.
With the fast raffle draw turnarounds here I am wondering when this rafflemania will slow do

Texas Lottery introduces $50 scratch ticket
people obviously feel those odds are very good, and they certainly are compared to PB MM and most state games.
Assuming you want to compare apples to apples, the odds aren't that much better than PB or MM, and they're worse than most state games. The tickets cost as much as buying 50 tickets for PB, MM , or most state games. If you bought 50 tickets for PB or MM your chance of winning the jackpot would be 1 in 2.9 milion or 1 in 3.5 million. Sure, you'd be almost 3 times as likely to win

NEW POLL: Have any of you met a lottery winner?
I find this interesting that there have been so few winners where you frequent. The mom and pop store I used to work in had 4/5 winners frequently for Pick 5/Pick 6 and then as soon as I quit someone won the SuperLotto Jackpot. There is another store here,Lichine's Deli and Liquor where there have been 3 Jackpot winners since 2000. It's a little out of the way but I always try to buy my tickets there.
I'd say you're due for a big winner,RJOH! Are you buying tickets somewhere where there's n
