4 tickets win $330 million lottery jackpot
The odds of winning the estimated $330 million Mega Millions jackpot were one in 176 million.
But lottery officials said early Saturday that four people one each in Maryland, New Jersey, Texas and Virginia did just that.
In addition to the grand prize winners from Friday night's drawing, 36 players matched all five numbers but not the Mega Ball number. They will receive second prizes of $250,000 each.
Another 215 players matched four numbers, plus the Mega Ball number - good for thi

Players warned lottery about tickets flaw
Tennessee lottery players say they warned lottery officials more than 10 days ago that a new computerized system to pick random numbers in the Cash 3 and Cash 4 games appeared to be malfunctioning.
They say they were ignored for days while a computer software glitch kept duplicate numbers from being drawn in the games. That meant players who picked numbers like 6-6-9 in Cash 3 or 5-5-5-3 in Cash 4 had no chance of winning.
Lottery officials announced Tuesday that the glitch had been correc

Everybody Says This Is A Neat Story
Growing up very close to the Indianapolis 500 track certainly had its advantages. My step father, Robert L. Dillman, sold Fords from about 1943 until 1952. We lived at 1401 Exeter from 1943 until sometime in 1952. As you travel east on 16th street from the track, you will hit Exeter about one-half of a mile from the famous brickyard. I grew up hearing the roar of Offenhauser engines screaming around the most beautiful track in the world. I am cer

Cops say co-worker killed Lotto winner
A burly Orange County, Florida, tree trimmer won $10,000 last month and some are saying it may have cost him his life.
Employees found their crew boss dead on the floor with empty pockets Monday morning at Gator Tree Experts near West Fairbanks Avenue.
Suspicions quickly focused on Dwayne Ricardo Smith, a missing co-worker with a history of violent crimes, according to Orange County sheriff's reports.
Within hours, Smith's best friend began telling detectives about a night that began wi

Georgia couple wins $1 million lottery raffle prize
Jim Fain couldn't believe his eyes.
His wife, Tina Beckham-Fain, sat on the floor of their Milledgeville home reading the number on the first of five lottery tickets they bought for the Millionaire Raffle as he looked at the winning combination on the Georgia Lottery Web site.
Beckham-Fain read 285704.
Unsure of what he was seeing on his computer, Fain then asked her to read the screen.
She did and the numbers matched.
I started to hyperventilate, said Fain, a 42-year-old corpor

Paranoid or Prudent?
You're dealing with the dirtiest industry I've ever seen in my 30 years of doing business...
-former Kentucky Lottery CFO Russ Davidson as quoted in the Atlanta Journal Constitution
While this remark has no context attached to it, I do believe it generally reflects the nature of the Lottery industry in the United States and indeed worldwide.
I joined Lottery Post in good faith just as I played the Lottery in good faith. But my experience with

Why some jackpot winners blow it
Actually I believe that the dreaded others is one of two reasons lottery winners mess up.....
Of course you have those who spend on themselves to their downfall....
However you have those who spend on others to their downfall.
Then you have those who do both....
Sure other wealthy people have people that set about after their money. But certian types of people who come into quick money are targeted more so by people wanting to get money from them.
Some lottery winners are the

CA F5: all 5 #'s from within last 3 draws
California's Fantasy 5 has had huge recent run of pairs/triples repeating, on 5/22, all 5 numbers were from the last 3 draws with 3 # from two draws back. I hit this pattern on 5/7 (4/5 3/5 4x for $478) where I noted that that had only happened 11 times in the previous 4500 draws that I've tracked this... now it happened twice in 16 draws!! Has anyone tracked this in other 5 draw lotto games?
I'll soon be putting the replacement numbers, the five columns on the right of the table below,

Something or Nothing? You be the judge...
The more I work with my 12 digit calculator, the more I learn. Here is something so simple....and effective? Maybe. Maybe not. But it's hard to let go of this little nothing idea because the winners are here. How do we pull them out?
The only thing I could figure is you could use these as your base numbers, along with your other methods because it's just not a stand alone system as is. What could we use as a key to guide us to the right set?
Using a past Florida drawing so you can see a we
