Some information about Powerball
I never understood anyone saying it's fixed. State lotteries make more money now with video poker and other revenue streams than with tradtional lotteries. Megamillions and Powerball sales are relatively flat and unless the pot hits at least 100 million sales are low. If they rigged the games it just wouldn't make sense that they would rig it to have small jackpots and yet that's whats been happening for a while now. Lotteries are there to make money and small jackpots just don't sell that well.

Powerball sets a new record
If the jackpot is big enough, the area of sales will become larger, many of the winners of large jackpots are from out of the state of sale. When the jackpots are over $200M people are willing to drive farther or go on line to buy tickets to be in the game.RJOh

Lotto Texas.
I have to hand it to the people of Texas. Judging by the jackpots of Lotto Texas, it loks like sales haven't dropped to much. They haven't resorted to making the jackpots in increments on $500,000 yet.

Oregon lottery posts record sales
Hot Lotto will never be changed in such a way to create $100 million jackpots, but IMO if states like Connecticut and Oregon are ever going to be interested, MUSL needs to make bigger jackpots possible.

What will happen when they get too big
Jackpot have reached over $300 million dollars over the the past few years. And lotteries are making the odds longer and longer to get these jackpots to grow bigger and bigger. The question is, when will the odds become too long? When will players find a game and just say Nobody can win this! and just not play. When will jackpots hit such high levels that chaos will break out?

Australian jackpots are tax free
Australia's lotteries, which, like US lotteries, are run by state governments. However, all winning are totally tax free. So, Australia is the real land of the free. And winners can also remain anonymous. SUCKERS!

MM withdrawl
Each of the jackpots won in Powerball or Mega Millions this year were won by a single ticket. No matter how high the jackpots get, the odds always favor a single winner unless at least 250 million tickets were sold or something.

SC has a Powerball Winner!!
Just a little less than two months ago, the powerball (and not MM) was over 200 million. How soon we forget. One of these jackpots will dventually go over 300 million; it's a matter of time. Generally one would expect about 2 out of every 5 jackpots to rollover with a $200 million+ jackpot. This is a measure of how long the odds already are.
