Could the Lottery offical do this??
With computerized drawings I would like to think everything is on the up and up.......but your absolutely right. Anything could be put into the system without making it too obvious. One of the FEW good things about IL is all the lottery games are ball drops. I can only speak for myself but if I believed the games were rigged I wouldn't play them.

Va Lottery
I'm not crazy about the idea but as long as it's not a precursor to computerized drawings I guess I can live with it (as if we had a choice). Things could always be worse. When I was a kid we couldn't even afford electricity. We had to watch TV by candlelight.

US delays crackdown on Internet gambling
Of course, they had mininova cold-busted lickety-split, but these often crooked ***computer-controlled*** for those of you who opposed computerized drawings, they can linger on for another six months, and meantime you still can't legally buy out-of-state lottery tickets; it's even illegal to mail one to your aunt in another State! in fact it's technically illegal to buy one in another State and carry it back home with you! although there have been jackpot winners who did this. Remember, all i

Pa. clerk stole $48K in lottery tickets
If everyone could get away with that or if everyone could win... then everyone would have a lot of $. The problem is it doesn't produce any additional products for people to buy with all that $. Hey.. isn't our Government doing kind of the same thing?? Scratch-offs can't be systemized (usually..I have some theories on a few of them). If you hate computerized drawings then the scratch-offs are the same thing in a way. I usually only get them when a new game comes out or for something to do whi

DC-5? Disaster.
Well, it appears the District of Columbia has already taken on a version of Pennsylvania's Quinto. It's apparently been on sale for a month. Now, doing that is already pretty dumb because, let's face it, Quinto is terrrrrrrrible. The odds of winning a prize are rediculous, as opposed having overall odds of 1 in 10 in Cash 5 or 1 in 6 for Treasure Hunt, Quinto has odds of 1 in 100 at best, with the pairs. But it's kind of pointless seeing you're only playing 2/5 of the total numbers, and you can

Oklahoma: 9/1 - 9/30/2009
When did OK Pick 3 (and Pick 5) change over to computerized drawings? I didn't know about the change until this weekend, when a former LP member sent me an e-mail. I have changed the Oklahoma rating on the Report Card: https://www.lotterypost.com/lottery-report-card.asp Too bad!

There is no reason Mega Millions and Powerball can't allow jackpot winners to remain anoymous
Of course there's a good reason to require people to be identified publicly. They aren't trying to convince an auditor that real people win the lottery, they're trying to convince the public. How many people here don't trust computerized drawings despite all the effort the states put into claiming they're fair and truly random? If people don't believe that, why would they believe it when the state claims that the lottery was won, and the prize was paid, to some unidentified person that nobody wi

Never say never
When I get numbers like that I always think, if I win I will be the only winner and won't have to split. Yeah I've seen numbers like that and they came from rolling balls, not computerized drawings. MarkP

ARKANSAS LOTTERY DRAWINGS TO BE COMPUTERIZED
That is so scary! I had no idea that computerized drawings existed. I'm just novice to the lottery game, so thank you Todd for this website!!! We haven't had the lottery that long here in SC so I'm glad we're able to see the balls as they come out. I just assumed every state was the same way. How could anyone EVER trust a computerized drawing? Considering how hackers can get into highly secured government offices...manipulating the lottery would probably be a no-brainer. Geez!
