Mega Millions lottery jackpot to be a quarter-billion for Friday
Millions and millions of tickets sold, but no one managed to pick the right combination of numbers in the multi-state Mega Millions lottery game. The $200 million dollars up for grabs in Tuesday night's game went without a top winner, hiking the jackpot to $250 million for Friday. But 13 people in eight states came awfully close, matching five of the six winning numbers. Each of those tickets is worth $250,000.The second-place tickets were sold in California (2), Georgia (2), Maryland, Michigan,

I "THIN SLICED" 4 out of 6 numbers again!
For the 4th time in a year and a half, I hit 4 out of 6 numbers in PA's 6/38 game (for $40.)I just missed 5 out of the 6 because I failed to play a hunch number-- I went with the number 6 instead of 7-- actually I felt torn. Had I done so, I would have nabbed $2000. I didn't think to play an alternative ticket to include the 7. Oh well! How did I select my numbers all four times? Through Gail Howard's Chart #4 and Chart B and a few other means I devised myself. I did not use any wheeling sys

B.C. lottery officials extend deadline to settle fight over jackpot
The British Columbia Lottery Corp. has given two groups of feuding fast-food workers another day to decide who deserves a share of a $14.5 million Lotto 6/49 jackpot. They've asked for more time, Jim Lightbody, the corporation's vice-president of gaming, said Monday. We're not certain why. Nine workers at an A W fast-food restaurant in Mission, B.C., say they're the only rightful claimants to the prize from the Aug. 13 draw. But four others have come forward to demand a share of the jackpot, sa

Powerball lottery changes go into effect Sunday
I agree with a lot of what you say. But I don't think there's any evidence to support the statement, They couldn't stand the fact that players were able to pick winning numbers as frequently as they did. The conventional wisdom that the games were won mostly with QPs appears to be more accurate than any conventional wisdom has a right to be. LP members probably have the best informational tools, databases, and lottery information exchange in existence. There's probably nowhere in the world whe

Texas Lottery May Eliminate Lotto Bonus Number
'5 + Bonus' format was a flop with playersLotto Texas players might be saying bye-bye to the bonus ball. One of the proposals being floated by the Texas Lottery Commission is to eliminate the new five numbers and bonus ball matrix and return to a 'pick six of fifty' (6/50) format for the Lotto game, which is the flagship of the Texas Lottery. I don't think that has been discussed specifically, but I think we're discussing all formats for the matrix, to determine what would be the best, to make it

New Lottery idea
Hey Pac, No wrong or right, I think what your missing in my concept is this. The 10 mil comes from the jackpot that was never collected within 72 hours. So, it's not new money, it's old money. The lottery could grow from sales also during this time but if there is at any point in time a jackpot winner and they fail to collect the 10 mil, that 10 mil would be placed back into the lottery for the next drawing. The answer to your question is this, the money comes from the lost winning ticket. T

New Lottery idea
Ok, so here it is. It's a new lottery idea. If you win the jackpot you have 72 hours to report you are the winner. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO CLAIM IT THAT DAY but you do have to verify it. If the winner does not come forward in 72 hours then the next jackpot is increased by that much money. I think this would be exciting and get some of the silly waiting out of the way. Again, if you are setting up a trust or something of that nature you wouldn't have to claim it that day but someone would have to veri
