Beware of apophenia!
There is a running debate among psychiatrists whether apophenia is a true mental disorder. All religious peoples would become immediate patients. Perceiving a god or answers to prayer or miracles in a universe governed by chance, caprice and natural selection would fall under this rubric. Notice that in Stats a hypothesis is apophenic only when the data under consideration is in fact random. A rigged lottery or those ubiquitous computerized drawings would be exceptions. So to

Tenn. Lottery CEO blames lagging sales on Powerball
That is my personal opinion why the lottery sales have come down. I'm sure the jackpots on Powerball have something to do with it as well., but mostly the gas prices, economy instability, etc., As far as confidence levels from the consumer, well, can you blame them? The computerized drawings? Remember, most people don't trust computers and the internet anyway. Oh, let me clarify that, most people I know. Not any of you here, of course. But throw that in the mix with seemingly fixed draws and blo

International super lottery to create jackpots of $500 million or more
A Gambling addiction, is like an invisible enemy, that closes in on us, in ways we do not perceive. In California, we have 5 games already! All but one being computerized drawings! I have played all 5 simultaneously for a prolonged period. That is, long enough to get in trouble!! You have to have enough sense, to rein yourself in, when you know you're exceeding bounds just a bit! I left off playing all games except Mega Millions, just for that reason. Now, here comes another game, and this time

How to Prove Your Lottery IS Fixed?
Thanks for stopping by jim695 Yea it's pretty easy to jack computerized drawings and it's a crying shame what they are doing to everyone in Indiana. Maybe a lawyer from out of state who has license to practice law in Indiana could help.

Some may say times are tough, but lottery spending doesn't show it
I cut down to minimum while I develop better algorithms. My systems don't do as well in Summer as in Winter anyway. But I play at least one just to be in the drawing so it's something to look forward to at 12:55 or 7:55 or 10:55. The cutting down on that and other things has been enough to cover the extra cost of gas. I think also people are bored because they had to cut travel and other plans that were costing money, so they do this as an alternative. The only thing I wish they (the Lotte

What if you could pick the correct p/3# each time?
Are you saying that maybe you can actually do this? Or are you just curious what people would do if they could. I don t think a person could ever hit everyday, not with computerized drawings anyway, anyway if too many people would pick the same number, they could just change the numbers. So its never going to happen that a person or even a group is going to break down any pick 3 lottery. The only way you could pick the right combo every single day in a computerized draw is if you had some t

Tenn. proposal for real lottery drawings withdrawn
My post wasn't directed at the people whom contacted the state officials. It's directed at the naysayers who complained about computerized drawings and for whatever reason failed to follow up by doing everything they could by contacting the state officials who were trying to help them. This matter was all but resolved. Negative posts on here in threads about all this and thread drift probably contributed somewhat to their decision. I also agree that Rebecca probably remains stead fast in h

Tennessee Lottery computerized drawings under suspicion again
It's quite obvious to me and I'm sure others that you are speaking on behalf of computerized drawings. I would not be surprised to find that it butters your bread. Your statement I fail to see how a mistake in Tennessee has rendered their system also somehow untrustworthy is so flippant about players who placed bets with no chance of winning. Perhaps instead of you failing to see it, you refuse to see it or try to fog reality so others don't see it for what it actually is. My comments an

Is the Lottery rigged ? Read this ...
That article is designed to get players to SUPPORT COMPUTERIZED drawings, it was that obvious and as such, it needs to be ignored completely. Always tell the truth. It will astonish some and gratify the rest. -Pres. Harry S. Truman, Democrat

Cheating scratch-offs
Each scratch off game is already determined. Why would you want to play a game thats pre-determined ?!?! It's the very reason why we all want lotto games to have lotto balls instead of computerized drawings. Avoid the scratch offs..it's a losing cause... if your lucky enough to get a win, take the money and run! Stick with the lotto 3,4,5 and 6 number games that havent been pre-determined yet. Just my 2 cents .. Good Luck Omniscient
