When a winning ticket gets destroyed
True story-a guy in our office pool was making copies of our pool tickets on a printer at his desk. One of the original tickets rolled out black on the front. He called the lottery office and gave them the numbers from the back of the ticket. They re-issued him another ticket-and he lived to see another day--lol

You have been in this Pool " forever" & decide you done- you walk away..
Never roll over any pool winnings. If you do, you are asking for trouble. Start each new pool fresh from the ground up.

Statistically speaking...
My problem isn't having all the winning numbers in my picks somewhere, it's that the pool is so big the most I ever have in a single line is two. I used a smaller pool when I played Classic Lotto(6/49) but a match3 only paid $2. Since I've decided to only play one game for a while, I'm sticking with MM for now but I would like what someone else could do picking numbers from three hats.

Calif. man knew he won $1M but lost the lottery ticket
l take it by this remark from the Lottery Official that if one was part of a pool or solo player and copies were made of all the tickets purchased- However the Original ticket was LOST, the Pool / self are up a creek so to speak.

*spin-off* Lottery Pool and buying your own tickets/same numbers
Your pool must really trust you if they don't care about receipts or numbers. Just curious do you have anyone in your pool that you ever get the feeling doesn't trust you? They think you will somehow take off with their millions? That would bother me to the point I would probably not want to play with them.

*spin-off* Lottery Pool and buying your own tickets/same numbers
In a perfect world your pool wouldn't include any members who ar stupid and/or dicks. Since that's not possible, you could either take that very, very small risk, or you could have a contract that prohibits members from purposely playing the combinations that the pool has played.

You in a Pool that forbids anyone buying tickets " on the side"-However..
On occasions when the jackpot really goes into the $400 mil plus range- you decide- the heck with that, l want to get a few extra tickets and perhaps have the gf/spouse squirrel away the tickets in a safe place..
But your separate numbers HIT..
Do you : Call up the Pool captain and tell him/ her you broke the rules- tough .. Or
Tell the Pool your stay with them has run its course- your won and thats that..See Ya!
*** Do you see a lawsuit in the making?

Lottery syndicates online
Sometimes it's call a lottery pool or a lottery club. Basically, a group puts in money to buy multiple lottery tickets and if they win, they share the prize. I'm not sure I'd play an online syndicate and I wonder if they are even legal. I know it's not legal to buy lottery tickets through the mail whether domestic or foreign.
I run a lottery pool at my office with a total of 11 people in it. We each put in $4 every payday and buy a mix of Powerball, MegaMillions, and Lotto tickets. If we w

What's the HARDEST you've ever seen anyone play?
I was in a work pool that played 500 Ohio' Super Lotto lines and I with another pool member volunteered to make out the play slips and I promised myself I would never do that again. If I play MM tonight I will make out 15 lines and there's a good chance I won't get through them without making a mistake. Since I've never done better than a 1+1, I have a good mind to just mark the megaballs and auto pick the other five numbers.
