I'm bored, so I think I'l play Fox News here. I'll report. You decide. Since there have been so many replies (that probably should have been PMs instead of posts),I'm going to post as much as I can think of for and against the case to fill everyone in. I'll leave it up to you to decide if it is valid or not.FOR the claim being valid:-There is not just heresay about the extension. There is a witness.-Case Law: Last year, CT allowed a late claim to recieve their prize.-I don't think someone would

Delaware Lottery looking for $7.7 million winner
After reading this article earlier this evening, I have since looked through the two main papers in Delaware, The News Journal and the Delaware State News, and I couldn't find it in either. Perhaps I missed it. I think the article seemed to indicate that the lottery was trying to concentrate on the Harrington area to locate the winner. I was told that where the ticket was sold is very near the casino at the fair grounds and is also on the main highway leading north and south through Delaware. I

The Florida Lottery, with that Jimmy touch
Quote: Originally posted by DoctorEw220 on February 1, 2005i like your idea, but i think FL needs to do a few more things.1. Lotto jackpot winners should have 60 days after they claim the prize to choose cash or annuity.2. FL needs a new online game, perhaps something along the lines of keno.3. Fantasy 5 needs a rolling jackpot. If a single winner of that game can get $200,000 before taxes, think of what a single winner could get after a few rollovers.3. We had Fantasy 5 rolling jackpots, it har

Which change in Megamillions or Powerball
dvdiva,Most players are pretty much oblivious or indifferent to the odds of the big jackpot games like Powerball and Mega Millions. If the odds made much of a difference to any of us, we probably wouldn't be playing these games at all because we'd be concerned about the huge disparity between odds of the games and the payoff odds, particularly for the secondary prizes. Most people recoginze that dumb luck is a huge factor and they just hope that luck will smile on them.I wouldn't think it would

Wash. Lottery considers adding third weekly drawing
Quote: Originally posted by DoctorEw220 on January 21, 2005 i think more drawings could also produce higher jackpots at quicker rates.i had to say something about this one. the oregon megabucks is already doing this and the jack pot takes forever to grow. it does grow but real slow. quinto did this one time before as a novelty and the only thing it did for me was make me spend more money. the highest i can remember quinto getting was about 21 million and that was because no one hit in for months

And I agree with you about the lousy percentage that NY allocates to its prize pool. Most of the time, getting these huge lottery organizations to do anything positive for the players is a monumental challenge, mainly because it requires that legislation be passed. In the case of the NY prize pool, I believe that percentage was allocated through legislation, and not just a number that the lottery came up wit

anyone purchased this method?

My Made-Up State's Lottery
Thanks for all the nice comments. I don't know if I'd like to actually work for a lottery, then I couldn't play. But anyway, here's another game description. What's your fantasy? A Bentley? A trip around the world? A house? Fantasy 5 can make that happen. Jackpots start at $200,000, and have reached almost $2 million. No other pick 5 game in the country comes close. And the lower tier payouts are also good. So Fantasy 5 isn't just big, it's Ginormus(R)!Just pick 5 numbers from 49, or have the Dre
