How is it possible?
Quote: Originally posted by Pick-4_Master on February 11, 2004 There is no way of PREDICTING winning numbers but you can TRAP the winning numbers by selecting a GROUP of them to Wheel. Anyone who wins the lottery, even on a quick pick, traps the winning number. Wheeling reduces your probability of actually winning per dollar, although it does raise the expectation value: If you win (in spite of your lowered odds) you will win more money than you would otherwise because you will garner mo

Kansas Lottery Sales Above Projections
Kansas lottery sales continue to grow, as the third quarter of the fiscal year gets under way. Current sales reflect a $10 million increase over projected sales for the 2004 Fiscal Year. We believe our sales increases are a result of change we made in game development and marketing practices, reports Executive Director Ed Van Petten. We have introduced more instant games in the market, and these games have shown the largest increase. The Powerball game also boosts sales when the jackpots in

Probability of a rollover in PB and MM
Actually there are relatively few cases of double and triple winners in these long odds games, particularly in the earlier going when the numbers of tickets sold are relatively low. In any case, a probability is only a probability: Any nonzero probability is still a very real possibility. That is something we all believe since we all play the lottery and there are long odds against us actually winning. (I actually was not aware of the lottoreport site (Thank you!) and have up until now esti

After 18 years, $7 billion in sales and with more than $2.1 billion in proceeds, the Missouri Lottery is still going strong. keep your name private?
Not a blind trust , an inter vivos (living) personal property trust (revocable). You would be involved in the entire process, not just as a beneficiary, but also as a Grantor (person who creates the trust), Trustee (person who manages the trust in accordance with the grantor's requests), and the beneficiaries would be immediate family or anyone else you wanted to name. Some issues would be1. Successor trustee (someone to take over if you happen to become incapacitated or die, usually a spouse, b

Mass. Lottery games to merge, jackpots to increase
I'm all for getting rid of 6/49 Mass Millions and keeping 6/42 Megabucks with increased payoffs for lower prizes, a bonus number and a cash option. If they make it 6/45 or something like that without other big changes, what's the point? I'd rather lose going for a huge MegaMillions jackpot than face almost as bad odds going for much less money in the boring new game. Now is the time to make real improvements if they are going to. How can they lure people against enormous MegaMillions jackpot

Another Ohio Try...
RJOh: Getting 5 of 6 in the last two years is not that bad.The last time I had 5 of 6 was in 1985. On 1-23-85 actually.I had 6-13-19-26-29-39 and the numbers were 6-13-19-27-29-39.Off by one digit so to speak. You talk about a heartbreaker!I had 5/6 in August 1984 also, but not that close.I still log everything and especially remember that 1985 drawing. The pot was only a little over $4 million and 11 people had all six numbersthat day. But if the drawings still had two tries for a buck and a
