the test of a real guru
RJOh,Sorry, but I haven't been on these boards in several weeks (I've been busily preparing SimuLotto 2.0).I didn't shy away from the challenge of repeating my match of numbers for MegaMillions, but I thought that type of challenge was fun once, but, unlike some, I've never claimed that I can pick 3 of 6 numbers every week. I would be skeptical at anyone claiming to do that. What I offer is a long-term approach to the lottery. I believe winning the big jackpots of the lottery is purely a matter

Why does the jackpot rise more slowly now
when a big jackpot gets won and is in the news then it results in higher jumps in the next few drawings but a lot of people (like me) just dont want to play for the small jackpots being offered considering how bad the odds are. there are only 2 ways to go in a lottery for sales one is to have a lottery with good odds like 1:3.5 million and have prizes around 10 million when won or second have a lottery with terrible odds like 1:120+ million and have really fantastic prizes like 300 million like

should megamillions change the rules
It seems that there are people who want a $300-400 million jackpot. Personally, I'll take the lowest jackpot they offer and even split it with someone, and I'll still end up with many times the money I have now. But when you say you want a $300 million jackpot you are also saying this: I want to buy a ticket week after week after week but I don't want to win the jackpot. I want to give my $1 away to make the game more fun. If your goal is to win big, fine, that's a good goal - but why toss y

Sanford asks S.C. Education Lottery to make small cuts
South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford says he doesn't approve of a state lottery but since it's here, it should be as efficient as possible.Sanford said in a budget hearing Wednesday that he'd like the South Carolina Education Lottery to cut its retailer commissions and put even more money toward education. The lottery has had about $1.2 billion in gross sales from the beginning of the games on Jan. 7, 2002 to Aug. 31, 2003.About 7 percent of that goes toward retailer commissions. Sanford questioned w

Jackpot has players dreaming big
Tuesday's hefty Mega Millions payoff making ticket sales boomWhen the lottery prize gets high enough, Industrial Park Party Store owner Karim Kenaya goes from selling tickets to buying them.Sometime before Tuesday night's drawing of the Mega Millions numbers -- for a jackpot estimated at $150 million -- Kenaya will buy a batch of tickets at his Port Huron store and hope to strike it rich. He bought 60 tickets Friday when the jackpot reached $126 million. When it gets to big jackpots, you have to

Florida Lawmaker: Large unclaimed lotto prizes should go to education
Instead of using an unclaimed $50 million Lotto jackpot to try to get more people to gamble, the state should have been able to spend the money on schools, a state lawmaker said Friday.Rep. Charlie Justice said he plans to file a bill that would allow large unclaimed prizes -- like the $50 million that a ticket holder failed to claim this week before a 180-day deadline passed -- to be used for education.Right now, all unclaimed money returns to the Lottery, which has to use it for promotions. Minn. Lottery cuts staff, advertising, promotions despite record sales
The Minnesota Lottery will lay off 34 employees, nearly one-fifth of its workforce of 191, next month to meet state-imposed budget cuts. But the state-run gambling operation still projects a near-record year for sales because of changes in its popular multimillion-dollar Powerball game. Most of the job cuts will come from the lottery's marketing staff, including 16 positions in field offices in Eagan, Brainerd, Detroit Lakes, Marshall, Owatonna and Virginia, assistant director Geno Fragnito said

Last hours for unclaimed $50 million Florida Lotto ticket
A $50 million FLorida Lotto jackpot winner either isn't aware of his fortune or was waiting almost literally to the last minute to claim the prize. If the single winning ticket holder of the March 12 jackpot doesn't claim the prize by 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, the money goes back to the Lottery. That would be a bummer, said Lottery spokeswoman Sheila Griffin. The ticket was sold in Miami-Dade County at Kohl's Food Market in North Bay Village. I think somebody lost that ticket, no doubt about it, said

Tips on Lotto Pro 2003
I use Lotto Pro 3000. I bought it years ago when it was just plain Lotto Pro, but with free updates over the years, it now is Lotto Pro 3000. I like it because it's data files are always updated within 24 hrs of the drawings and the program is updated free as new lotteries come on line. It can analize past drawings history and show the amount of hits, sum, cold, hot, due numbers and etc. It doesn't try to predict numbers. The player have to choose numbers to wheel or play based on the analized
