Active-duty service member wins $1.3 million jackpot same day he signs up for PA Lottery account
Great point. Since I never hit it in my 20 years US Army not sure what they do these days with lotto winners. ICR a Pentagon Soldier (way back in 1980 or 1981) hit for I think $5 million and there was some flak if they'd let him out or not....who knows? Coming back from a long ride home from OH, clerk in IN rang up two Powerball tickets whereas I asked for one. Said normally would be the other one but am too tired to do. We stopped in the nearby casino. Friend ran out

Never did this before
No, actually I do work on the casino floor. When one of my players hits a jackpot for $2,000, I'm not going to look them up in player tracking to see that they lost $3,000 today, prior to that one spin, and then go over there and say oh hi Krystal I see you've LOST $1,000 today! Get a grip. When someone wins $2,000 on a slot machine, that one spin is a winner. I do get sore winners who whine that they've lost $3,000 in order to win $2,000 just now. That's their problem. Tables does the

2026 lottery headlines you hope to see
Lottery headline: A massive cover-up has just been unearthed, where every state lottery has been staging their drawings to make it appear that the drawings are random. Every independent auditing firm is in on the scam, publishing false reports of fair and independent random number drawings. A subsidiary of MUSL, which they call WNDC (Winning Numbers Determination Committee) decides amongst themselves what the winning numbers will be, for Powerball, Megamillions, and every single-state g

Lottery is not random it's predetermined
The weather is not going to alter the 1 in 10 chance of a particular ball being grabbed by the machine as a winning number. That one is not it could be figured out , it's just plain not possible. As far as the mechanics of balls slamming into each other, there's no question that after a long enough period of time, the drawings will be very predictable, because the balls will get so out of shape, only the three most round balls will get picked while the others lay at the bottom of the machine

Why do some people call this gambling?
There's an oid Twilight Zone episode where a gambler dies and goes to someplace with a casino. When he gets there he goies on an incredible winning streak. He tells the pit boss he didn't think even heaven woiuld be this good. The pit boss tells him, Oh, this isn't heaven . For the gambler it was hell becayse he coulkd not lose a bet. PS Those who accept wagers on any form of gambling will tell you they are in the business of letting the bettors pick their own losers.

LOTTERY POST 25TH ANNIVERSARY GIVEAWAY #2
If I won the lottery hmm, let me think. Two thoughts. First, keeping in mind that around 70% of big lottery winners end up broke or worse off within five years (according to studies and financial advisors), I d probably take the Georgia Byrd route from Last Holiday (2006). When asked what she planned to do with her life savings, she said: 'I m just gonna blow it!' Georgia spent $65,370 on a lavish vacation first-class flights, luxury suites, spa treatments and ended up winning $100,000
