Ethical Question
Well...had the ticket been a big winner..the ethical thing to do would be to track down who had the book
last...since that piece of information would be easily attainable.
I don't really understand how it was not possible to know who had the book last or prior to the last
person who had it.
Anyway..I think ethics wouldn't play as much a part as conscience would. What if it was a big winner?
There are no ethics concerning an unsigned, unclaimed, lost/misplaced lottery ticket...only

Can prayer affect the outcome of a lottery
truecritic, don't bother wasting your time (and the boards time) trying to sell yourself as a guy that picks the middle road, the purveyor of all things ethical in here.
that's a well documented joke.
you are one of the people that tends to think your the situational police when the discussion becomes something you don't like, or don't agree with..........THEN truecritic crawls out into the open to squelch the noise, or a feeble attempt thereof.
just who do you think you really are, so

What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
my vision (unfortunately for you) starts out at 20/20 when it comes to the ethical arena's of life.
it gets narrower down the snellen scale of things, when guys like you attempt to slither truth in a side door.
such as your (another) ongoing example above.
like i said, you guys automatically think i am going to play this mano a mano they way that you do, via the ethical fudge-ation of the intial , but nope, vision isn't about to auction his 9 year display of integrity just to win .

GTECH explains pricey N.J. Lottery contract
Seeking to justify a price tag of nearly $32 million more than a competitor to run the New Jersey's lottery for the next five years, representatives of the state's lottery operator said Wednesday that their system is more convenient for vendors and would result in less down time and lost revenues for the state.
Representatives for GTech, which won a new contract despite bidding $106.7 million to Scientific Games' $75 million, said the higher price comes with more assurance that its terminals

Canadian man charged with theft, fraud after claiming $1M lottery prize meant for three winners
All about Encore.
Sounds like Encore is essentially a completely separate game but you can only buy it when buying a ticket in another game. If that's the case it sounds like the group's free ticket didn't win anything, but the Encore add-on the guy paid for himself won a prize. In that case I'd say the guy did nothing legally wrong unless the group always buys Encore when buying a ticket. If they don't there's may be a reasonable argument that he should have consulted them about adding it

Audit opens up conversation about possible collusion between Maryland lottery players and vendors
Report reveals lack of investigative procedures for high-winning individuals
By Kate Northrop
A report conducted by the Office of Legislative Audits in 2022 revealed security concerns that suggest possible collusion between lottery winners and vendors in the state of Maryland.
The report, published and viewable online by the Maryland Department of Legislative Services, reviews a fiscal compliance audit of the State Lottery and Gaming Control Agency (SLGCA) between Jan. 3, 2017 and

Woman's winning lottery ticket rescued from trash by brother
You don't have to give an occupation, but you can make it look like you have one.
Well I am pretty familiar with the ethics codes for attorneys and one cannot act in furtherance of a crime and if you suspect your client in committing a crime, you have an obligation to resign from the case. I find it difficult to believe the attorneys, since their conversations would have been privileged, did not ask who was the actual ticket holder. The lottery officials continued to press for questions to be

8 years after buying $10.8 million ticket, lottery winner says life is 'marvelous'
Music,
While having the positive success stories of winners years after is wonderful to hear and I do wish we could read a few more from time to time. I also find it a bit more educational of what not to do should someone be blessed with a large jackpot win. Granted, some of it is plain ignorance and/or lack of ethics(imho). I am not a fan of negativity and bad lotto stories as a mainstay but do greatly appreciate the if I could do it over or I did this pitfalls of some winners.
I am thank

Lottery scam victim lost life savings
I cannot feel sorry anymore for stupidity. If you are too stupid and too greedy to see your way past people than i do not know what to say anymore. There has been enough news reports, enough said on tv shows and newspapers, enough said on shows like 60 minutes, 20/20 and dateline, it has been reported on Dr. Phil, Oprah and Phil Donahue and Merv Griffith, it has been on all local news stations and radio stations and unless you live under a rock or in a card board box you are too stupid to be ali

8 state lottery websites + Powerball & Mega Millions sites offline
Could the downtime be related to the Hot Lotto saga? Maybe they're auditing the website software for issues, such as backdoors.
On a related topic, it always disturbed me how both the Mega Millions and Powerball websites have long had ad pop-ups on first visit. Seems to me if MUSL is that greedy, one has to be extra skeptical of what tactics they're taking to make an extra buck; lack of ethics. While I'm sure most players have never been bothered by the pop-ups, it's always in the back of my
