Texas may move to join Mega Millions today
The Texas Lottery Commission could formalize its decision to enter the multi-state lottery game Mega Millions today, a move expected to bring more than $50 million a year to state coffers.The three-member panel is scheduled to take action on a proposal that would allow lottery director Reagan Greer to sign a contract with the consortium of ten states that make up Mega Millions.Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Virginia and Washington are the other

The Texas Multi-State Lottery Battle!
Rebeckah,I agree with you, the Texas Lottery Commission does not listen to its players. If you read through the articles, they say about how they're listening on the multi-state game issue. That shows how FAKE they are. They absolutely DON'T listen to the players on that decision, because frankly most players wouldn't know or understand the economics behind which multi-state game to choose.Where they have gone BAD is adding a bonus ball to their game. What a mistake! When they go with MM or

NY Lotto $55,000,000
Brad:The NY state legislature still prohibits the NY Lotto game from returning more than 40% to players. (This DOES NOT apply to Mega Millions, Take Five 5/39, etc.)NY Lotto 6/59 began before NY was allowed to pursue a multi-state game (in fact, the first drawing of Lotto 59 was September 12, 2001.)And, of course, NY Lotto (and Mega Millions within NY) still must choose when they PLAY instead of after they win).PS- the 5+ bonus is the ONLY positive thing about this game.

Ohio changing Lotto?
RJ:If the Ohio Lottery likes/liked the KICKER game so much, maybe Ohio could have made KICKER an option with _any_ Ohio online game (except perhaps Mega Millions since it's a multi-state game), and drawing it six nights a week.No sense promoting KICKER now if there's a good chance Ohio is dropping it.

Predictions for 11/03/2001 Midday States
Vote ONLY for candidates who support Ohio joining a multi-state game, from governor down to garbage collector. :-) I understand that the 200th anniversary of Ohio admitted as a state is in 2003. Powerball/Big Game would make a very good anniversary present, rather than just any special scratch-off game(s) Ohio would be offering.

$ Lotto America $
I play this game because like your state, the in-state games suck here. They introduced a game just a few months ago that costs $5 and the jackpot starts at 200 or 250K and only goes up 3k per draw. It says the jackpot odds are 1:610,880 which is much better than any multi state jp game, but $5 is just too much for me to spend for a chance at a jp that still hasn't hit half a million yet. I can spend my dollar on LA without agonizing over it. $5 on the state game seems completely unreasonable to
