odds?
Odds of NOT winning are dependent on the odds of winning. If the odds of getting a winning ticket are 1::5, then the odds of drawing a non-winning ticket are 4::5. Knowing this, the odds of drawing non-winning tickets with the purchase of more than one ticket can be computed thus:4^x::5^xwhere ^ indicates an exponent - the number of times a number is to be multiplied by itself - and x is the number of tickets purchased.Decimally, the odds of drawing a non-winning ticket are 1::1.25. The odds

New breakthrough prediction system
What is the cardinal sin with wanting a system that only picks one ticket for a drawing? Quick Pick players do it all the time... so do those who play their own significant personal numbers.win or lose ( I do agree with secret4777's signature phrase 100%), a system that could take a look at info from past drawings (trends, etc...) and throw out it's best guess (which is all systems do anyway) would only set you back the cost of one ticket... not 30...if it was wrong.I think I'm finally getting t

Odds are, stunning coincidences can be expected
Odds are odds are odds. The expert statisticians can hardly agree on what the odds are on any given probability or possibility. The one thing they seem to agree on however, is that your odds on a 6 number game are virtually zero. So who bets money on a proposition where you have virtually NO chance of success? Us, because no matter what the odds are we know that at some point in time SOMEONE is going to beat those odds and it just might be one of us. The only odds that matter to us are that t

Craps Pass Line With Odds Bet - Casino Advantage
I believe the majority of people playing this game (would it be ungracious to call them chumps?) make one or more of the many other possible bets that have a much greater casino advantage (some even 10%). They might as well be playing the lottery I presume that's why the casinos continue to offer the game. A whale (big-money gambler) coming up to a table betting $10,000 at a time on a Pass Line then taking 100x odds bets ($1M) would be a risky proposition for a casino. In case you're interes

Craps Pass Line With Odds Bet - Casino Advantage
For those with an interest in Craps, a dice game that is available in just about any casino with table games, I have worked out a simple formula for % casino advantage for the Pass Line bet (which is probably one of the most common bet in Craps) coupled with a side odds bet. Briefly, the initial Pass Line bet has a casino advantage of about 1.414%, but in most casinos an additional (side) odds bet (after the Pass Line bet) can be made, and the odds bet is paid at true odds (no additional casino

What are the combined odds for a Powerball ticket with a Double Play add on?
I was curious if anyone has calculated the overall odds for a single Powerball ticket purchase with the $1 Double Play option. I did a web search and keep coming up with the same overall odds of 24:87-1, but since there are now two chances to win with just the Powerball, not to mention the other prize tiers, wouldn't the overall odds be slightly lower?

Calculating odds
I play the MassCash 5/35 and I usually play 7 combos which cover all the numbers once. How do I find out what the odds are reduced to by playing 7 combos? The game odds are 324,000/1 to hit a grand prize for one ticket but how do I figure out what I have reduced my odds to by playing 7,14,35,etc combos? Thanks players!!!

what price tickets offer the best bang for your buck?
In my state the odds ( Overall odds and Cash prize odds ) for the 10, 20, and 30 $ games are very similar. Actually, as you progress to more expensive games (in California) the overall odds decrease and the cash odds become more difficult.

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Thanks for sharing Ghost! The odds on the $10 ticket is really good for $500 hits, and the odds on the $20 ticket is amazing for $500 hits. The odds of hitting $100k is 1 in 60k, along with the 20k prize. Am I reading this right? Can that be a typo? To me, hitting a $100k prize is life changing. Hitting $500 on the $20 Monopoly ticket is 1 in 171, better odds than the $20 Gold Rush ticket. The $1 Monopoly ticket has a better chance of hitting $100 than the Hundreds of Dollars ga
